We’re growing our WAF family! 🏳️‍🌈

We Are Family is hiring four full-time salaried positions to support our next chapter of work with LGBTQ+ young people across South Carolina:

💜 Development Director
💜 Closet Case Retail Manager
💜 Communications & Community Engagement Manager
💜 Community Center Administrative Coordinator

These roles will help strengthen WAF’s fundraising, storytelling, community center operations, and mission-aligned social enterprise work.

Celebrate the end of summer with AFFA at the beautiful for an afternoon of swimming, music, community, and family-friendly fun!

This year's End of Summer Splash is all about helping our community head into the new school year feeling connected and celebrated. Enjoy pool access, great music from , and a cash bar hosted by Starlight Motor Inn with refreshments available for purchase throughout the afternoon.

From 4:00 to 6:00 PM, The Sparkle Bar will be on site offering complimentary fairy hair tinsel so attendees can add a little back-to-school sparkle. We'll also be joined by and the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP ), who will be sharing resources and support for LGBTQ+ youth, young people, and their families.

Whether you're bringing the whole family or meeting up with friends, come cool off, connect with community, and send summer out in style.

Admission is FREE. We can't wait to see you by the pool!

Through SC BLOOM, we’re seeing how community-led responses can build trust, strengthen accountability, and reduce stigma.

We’re grateful to have attended the 2026 International AIDS Society Conference in Rio de Janeiro and shared more about our HIV prevention education work with LGBTQ+ youth across South Carolina.

Thank you to our funders and partners for helping bring our work into global conversations about HIV prevention, care, and health equity.
