A reminder to mark your calendars for Sunday, October 11 at 5:00 p.m. as we gather at St. Stephen’s to kick off Charleston Pride Week with a diocesan wide Pride Evensong.

Join us for a beautiful Evensong as we celebrate the expansive love of God and the truth that there is a place for everyone at God’s table. Singers from across the diocese will come together as one choir, with a special debut of Dominick DiOrio’s Our Wildest Imagining, a moving new work inspired by the stories, sermons, and sayings of the Church’s first openly gay bishop, the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson.

The Rt. Rev. Ruth Woodliff Stanley will offer the homily, and the evening will conclude with a light reception and fellowship.

Come as you are. Come celebrate who God has created you to be. All are welcome at St. Stephen’s!

Coming out is a journey, and there’s no right way or perfect time. If you’re living authentically, we applaud your bravery. If you’re still inside, please know that you are whole and worthy of love just as you are. For those taking that courageous step today, or just keeping the door open a crack, we support you completely.

No matter where you are on your path, know that WAF is always here for you—an open door, a safe space, and a community that has your back. We’re so glad you’re in our world. 💜✨

¡Feliz Día Internacional de Salir del Clóset! 🌈✨ Hoy, We Are Family celebra cada paso que das, sin importar si es grande o pequeño.

Salir del clóset es un camino, y no hay una forma "correcta" ni un momento perfecto. Si ya estás viviendo con autenticidad, aplaudimos tu valentía. Si aún estás adentro, por favor, sabe que eres una persona completa y mereces amor tal como eres hoy. Para quienes están dando ese paso valiente hoy, o simplemente están manteniendo la puerta abierta solo un poquito, les apoyamos completamente.
