Last night, we celebrated our annual Bonnar Exhibit at the Morse Institute Library. It was a night full of art, connection, and community.

Held in honor of our founder, James King Bonnar, this exhibit reflects his belief that artists thrive when they support one another and last night truly embodied that spirit.

We were honored to have juror Jane Carney, whose thoughtful insights made the evening even more meaningful, along with music from Detours Ahead and the incredible support of our volunteers.

Congratulations to our award winners:
Gary Younker, Barney Levitt, Christina Yee, Jane Carney (Juror), Lisa Hayden, Martha Doolin
Also recognized: Shannon Slattery

We’re honored to have Jane Carney as the juror for this year’s Bonnar Exhibit.

Jane has built her career around a passion for meaningful interiors, approaching art curation with a thoughtful and holistic perspective. Her work spans healthcare spaces, large-scale corporate projects, and private collections, each shaped by a deep understanding of both context and client vision.

She holds a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and has worked with Christie’s Auction House, as well as several Boston-based arts institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts and the Boston Ballet.

Jane has carefully reviewed this year’s submissions and selected the award recipients, which will be announced live during the reception.

Join us on this Wednesday, April 22 from 5–7 PM to celebrate the artists and be part of this special moment.

We had a great turnout at last week’s Meet & Mingle focused on Newton Open Studios!

A big thank you to Claudia Fiks and Deb Perugi for joining us and sharing insights about what to expect for this year’s event. We also opened up the conversation to the group, hearing firsthand tips and strategies from artists who have participated before.

From booth setup to pricing to engaging with visitors… so many helpful takeaways.
