🌼 FREE SPRING AND SUMMER BCA EVENTS ACROSS THE BRONX
Palladium Style! Celebrating the Golden Era of Dance | May 30 | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Williamsbridge Oval
(Rain Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026)
This free, family-friendly spring festival honors musicians and dancers who revolutionized the Latin culture wave of the 1950s. Attendees will participate in hand percussion and dance demos, a Latin-themed arts workshop, and kid-friendly games and activities.
Landscape as Witness: Lived Experience in the Bronx
Opening Reception: June 10 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM | BCA HQ
This exhibition explores how the borough’s terrain, both physical and perceptual, bears witness to the lives shaped within it. Bringing together 10 Bronx-based artists, the exhibition examines how daily experience shapes and reshapes the built, material, and social environment.
2026 BX Creatives Connect
June 18 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Walnut Bar & Grill
This dynamic event will activate The Bronx with live performances by local DJs, musicians, dancers, and poets - showcasing the best of Bronx talent. Produced by Ayanna Williams of Uptown Melody, attendees will enjoy an evening filled with words, sounds, and rhythms from rising Bronx artists who embody the soul of our community.

🌼 CIVIC ENGAGEMENT COMMISSION - THE PEOPLE’S MONEY
The People’s Money — the Civic Engagement Commission’s citywide participatory budgeting process — is currently in its voting phase. From now through June 21, all New Yorkers age 11 and up can help decide how $4 million in city funds will be invested across the five boroughs. Voting is open regardless of citizenship or incarceration status. This year, BCA is participating — and if 500 people vote, BCA will unlock $4,000 in funding to support Bronx artists, cultural programming, and community initiatives. It takes just four minutes. No donation required.
