Early voting has officially started for the June 23rd primary election 🗳️ Celebrate being a New Yorker by starting your day by voting & ending your day celebrating 🏀

Vote this June to help shape the NYC you want to live in! Your voice has never been more important. Remember New York has closed primaries which means you can only vote this June if you are registered with a political party (democrat, republican, working families, etc.).

Our executive director joined a panel with at on preserving dignity in democracy and building civic power. Thank you to for welcoming us to his district. The conversation talked about the gutting of the voting rights act, working within a system that wasn’t built by or for communities of color, the importance of protecting the vote, and what gives us hope as we do this work. The ideal of democracy is only as good as the people who build and sustain it and the moment we are in only serves to highlight how fragile it can be and how much work we all have to do.

Our team was inspired by all of the powerful folks who were at the AAPI Heritage Month Summit. Conversations included identity, AAPIs in the military, the bamboo ceiling, acceptance & belonging, and more. From non-profit community leaders to celebrities, the Summit highlighted how much power we have in our AAPI community and the need for us to better leverage that power to help our most vulnerable community members.

It is always a pleasure to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with the community leaders who are doing this work alongside . The work is challenging, particularly in this moment, and finding these moments to celebrate and connect with leaders across the movement is so meaningful.
