We were heartbroken to cancel the Brooklyn Book Festival Children’s Day Book Market and Festival Day Marketplace this year due to the Nor’easter.

If you’re able, we encourage all you book lovers to visit brooklynbookfestival.org/vendor/ to find the publishers and authors who would have been participating in and show them the same love and support that you would have during the festival days! Fill your tote bags ❤️📖

Gray skies, bright spirits! ☔️📚 Thank you to everyone who braved the storm to join us for the 21st Brooklyn Book Festival flagship day. We loved seeing so many talented authors, artists, illustrators, and moderators take the stage at the Brooklyn Law School, Brooklyn Borough Hall, Brooklyn Heights Library, Center for Brooklyn History, and St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church. Every conversation was captivating, and we were thrilled to see so many books signed!

Thank you again to Antonio Reynoso and Commissioner Rafael Espinal for your much needed support. Looking forward to doing it again next year WITHOUT a nor’easter and WITH our much missed Literary Marketplace.

In the meantime, you can find recordings from our Virtual Festival Day on our website and YouTube. Stay tuned for more recorded programming coming your way soon.

Another great writer who makes Brooklyn their home! We were thrilled to present Amitav Ghosh with the 2026 BoBi Award (Best of Brooklyn) last week at our Gala Mingle author celebration.

Having made Fort Greene his home for 30 years and continuing to inspire readers across the globe, Amitav Ghosh best exemplifies the spirit of Brooklyn. Congratulations, Amitav Ghosh!

The Brooklyn Book Festival is deeply thankful for the extraordinary support we received during the Nor’easter.

This year’s festival could not have taken place without Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and MOME Commissioner Rafael Espinal providing much needed support, and the Brooklyn Law School, Brooklyn Heights Library, The Center for Brooklyn History, and St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church who gave us, quite literally, shelter from the storm. They saved the festival from cancellation, and we will always be thankful for their generosity.
