Judge: Jan Dykema

Into every life a little rain must fall. Indeed, it did, but it was down and dirty and quick and the show must go on. What a lovely event. The show grounds are large and spacious; parking was easy and the people friendly and cooperative. Huge kudos to the hardworking members of the Knickerbocker Club for the wonderful hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. Tents were set up right at ringside. Super raffle prizes and the most amazing food. I cannot remember when I had a meat ball (or three) as delicious as those served at the club tent. Thank you for my lovely judge’s gifts. The Knickerbockers are few but dedicated in sprit. Join this club. Support this show. Help our breed grow and prosper. "It's all about being a part of something in the community, socializing with people who share interests and coming together to help improve the world we live in." ~ Zach Braff. See you at the shows!

WIINERS BITCH
SORABULLY'S DOUBLE DOWN ON SUSHI POPS.
By GCh SoraBully's Sushi's IchiBan - SoraBully's You Had Me At Konnichiwa. Owner: Heidi Clayton,Breeder: Heidi Clayton. A delightful little package with brindle headmarks. More terrier in style. Ultra feminine. Construction at first glimpse is excellent. Smooth and plenty of sweeps and curves. Piece by piece demonstrates a clean front with plenty of bone, upright pasterns and tight cat feet. Moving up to head quality, front on is full and filled, ear set could be a bit higher but a quibble. Nice triangular eye for that wicked expression we all desire. Side view brings a nice reach of neck and well laid shoulder, short back and just enough rise over loin. Hind construction provides a well-turned stifle and shot hocks. Movement was efficient and effortless aided by a handler who made the very best of an already excellent bitch. Well done.

BEST OF VARIETY
GCHB ALARIC STAR SPANGLED SISTER.
By GCH Malajo's Formula For A Drama Devil - CH Alaric Wish Upon A Star.Owner: Gregory Armstrong & Victoria M Sottile,Breeder: Victoria M Sottile & Andrea Coppiano.
What can I say? A favorite of mine that I have critiqued before. She brings to the table every bit of panache one could hope for She was even better today than I have seen her. She is correct in just about every way. Type and most of the standard come to life in a bull terrier bitch. Handled so well. She could not be denied. Group Three on Sunday.

BEST OF OPPOSITE S*X
GCH FORMULA FOR A DRAMA FREE BROTHER CGCA CGCU TKA VSWI ATT.
By GCH Action Devils Apprentice By Formula - GCH Actions Formula For A Queen. Owner: Shirley O'Doherty & Kimberley O'Doherty & Krista Prater-Piles, Breeder: Krista Prater-Piles & Franne Berez.
We love our studly dogs. This is one. Bulky, full of bone and muscle, and that roundness of leg and body that we hope to be passed on to his get. Head like a football, a football with tiny squinty eyes! Effortless mover around the ring. Good coming and going. Like many stud dogs he is nonchalant and unconcerned about his surroundings. He knows what he is. Mr. Cool.

SELECT BITCH
GCH ACTION KISS'D BY THE SULLINATOR FROM OLD FORGE TKN ATT.
By GCH Formula For A Drama Free Brother CGCA CGCU FDC TKA VSWI ATT - GCH Action Kissed By The Divine From Old Forge ATT. Owner: Shirley O'Doherty Kimberley O'Doherty & Franne Berez, Breeder: Dr Franne Berez Dr Dale Schuur Christine Schuur.
If the proof is in the pudding it most certainly is in the get. The daughter of the dog above, she has the qualities he has passed on to her. Loads of bone and substance in a tight package. Short back, smooth mover. Filled and packed head. One to watch.

WINNERS DOG - BEST OF VARIETY

ENERGON DEADPOOL AT BRILLIANT.
By GCHS CH Hawthorn Dragons Heart - GCH CH Energon Bright Star. Owner: Connie Whitmer & Pamela Pichilli & Christa Cook & Paul O'Driscoll, Breeder: Pamela Pichilli.
Dark brindle dog that cannot help but impress. Large b***d and well made. Truly he proof that we are a “head breed”. Massive egg shaped noggin impresses from front and side view Fat and filled describes it. Profile sweeps from between well placed ears to black nose Triangle eyes give the desired varminty appearance. Bite off. Broad fore chest and straight front, cat toes complete the picture. Side view demonstrates a short enough back and well-turned rear. Rear development needs to tighten on the move. Coming in was just fine a bit closer going away. Held topline nicely. Super temperament.

RESERVE WINNERS DOG

INDULGENCE A LONG TIME COMING.
By CH Clansmann Super Flye Guy - CH Indulgence Flight Of The Dragon. Owner: Beattie Tyler & Elizabeth Kuhn & Michelle Lea Whitman, Breeder: Michelle Lea Whitman.
Flashy red and white with tons of virtue. Head is curved in a gorgeous arc from the side. Eye well set and ears on top, well used. Front view is also good, perhaps a bit more fill would complete the picture. Strongly b***d and muscled, ramrod front and tight feet. Moved well and was handled correctly to show off his many virtues. (Note: he placed a super group 4 on Sunday in a highly competitive terrier group) His owners have a good one!

SELECT DOG

GCH REQUIEM STAY KHROME PONYBOY ATT.
By Ch Patterned Head Bull Boot - CH Khromeheart Corsaire From Provokacija. Owner: Melissa Searles & Victoria Corse, Breeder: Melissa Searles & Victoria Corse.
Well known brindle dog showing off his many virtues. Powerful head and sturdy body to match/ Should be a good producer. Nicely handled.

COLORED, 2-0 (2-0)
Winners Dog and Best of Variety
Whitmer, Pichilli, Cook and O'Driscoll’s ENERGON DEADPOOL AT BRILLIANT (GCHS CH Hawthorn Dragons Heart ex GCH CH Energon Bright Star) A young brindle dog. A very powerful dog in a compact package. He has super bone and substance. Maybe the widest head I have seen on the breed. It is also free from any indentations; truly egg shaped. Bite is not correct. Eyes are dark and placement is correct; however they are a tad large. Ears could be smaller. Balanced angles front and rear. Good width of chest. Front legs tend to toe out. Movement was true from all directions and with purpose.

Reserve Winners Dog
Beattie, Kuhn and Whitman’s INDULGENCE A LONG TIME COMING (CH Clansmann Super Flye Guy ex CH Indulgence Flight Of The Dragon) Strong and compact red and white dog. He has an exaggerated head with good fill. Mouth fault. Ears are larger, set low and wide apart. His eyes could be tighter. Good width of chest and a clean front. Good bone and substance but needs more muscling throughout. He is lacking some bend in his rear but his front is well angulated. Movement wasn’t as free as the winner.

Select Dog
Champion, Deevers, Perrotts’ CH APPRENTICE DANCIN WITH DEVIL (GCH Formula For A Drama Free Brother CGCU TKA VSWI ex GCH Apprentice's Gandy Dancin TKN) Flashy brindle dog with a super head piece, plenty of width and fill with ample underjaw. Has a mouth fault. He has tiny well placed eyes and ears. He has great bone and substance. I would like to see more muscling as he matures. Front on his fore limbs are super straight leading into nice clean and compact feet. His movement was jaunty. Topline was good on the move however, at a standstill he possesses too much rise over the loin
WHITE, 0-1 (1-3)

Winners Bitch
Clayton’s SORABULLY’S DOUBLE DOWN ON SUSHI POPS (Sorabully’s Sushi’s Ichiban ex Sorabully’s You Had Me at Konichiwa) Strong female carrying brindle. Good bone and substance throughout. Head is well filled with decent turn and a correct bite. Ears are set correctly however carries them lower. She has good body width but her body is a little long cast. Good angles front and rear and moves nicely coming and going.

Best of Variety
Armstrong and Sottile’s GCH ALARIC STAR SPANGLED SISTER (GCHS Malajo's Formula for A Drama Devil ex CH Alaric Wish Upon A Star) Very showy, superbly balanced all white female. She has a well-bent and filled head, with tiny little dark eyes. Small ears positioned well and used just enough. She has good shoulder layback and a long neck leading into a topline free of dips. The right amount of bone and substance completes the pretty picture. She moved jaunty and parallel in all directions.

Best of Opposite S*x
O'Doherty’s GCH CH FORMULA FOR A DRAMA FREE BROTHER (GCH CH Action Devils Apprentice By Formula ex GCH CH Actions Formula For A Queen) Strong medium sized white dog with brindle markings. His head is wide and filled with super expression, could use more curve in profile. Loads of body substance and super round bone. Well sprung ribs and a wide chest. Having judged this boy in the past I felt his movement was off on the day and he did not seem to be as pleased as he has in the past.

Select Bitch
O'Doherty’s CH ACTION KISS'D BY THE SULLINATOR FROM OLD FORGE (GCH CH Formula For A Drama Free Brother ex GCH CH Action Kissed By The Divine From Old Forge) A strong yet feminine all white bitch. She has great expression and tiny ears always carried erect. Gently turned head with ample fill. Balanced front and rear angles. Great bone and substance. Movement was good in all directions

Our fifth specialty weekend is in the books! It's been a hectic couple of weeks since Sept 6/7, hence the delayed post. We had a great time despite the crazy rain storm that blew in just after we finished lunch and our raffles on Saturday. Thank you to Greg Armstrong and Tyler Beattie and everyone else who helped us break down our tents and tables. It was pouring and we all got wet but we managed. While there was no love in group on Saturday, Bull Terriers had a fine day in group on Sunday, with both our colored and white BOVs earning group placements at the Westchster KC under judge and breed afficianado, Desi Murphy. Also, Johnny, is now Ch Indulgence A Long Time Coming, finishing his championship on Sunday under judge, Dr Dale Schuur. Our thanks to our breed specialist judges Dale, Meghan Barnes and Jan Dykema for their gracious and professional deportment at our shows. Our thanks to those exhibitors who supported our shows. We hope everyone enjoyed our weekend and we hope to see you all next year.

Knickerbockers, Ring times for Saturday's SHKC & KBTC concurrent shows are:
11:30 am Ring 15 & 1:00 pm Ring 15.

Ring time for Sunday's show is: 10:45 AM, Ring 6.

On Saturday, we will serve lunch, have our raffle and Dr Jacob's talk, after the concurrent because the times are too close together to eat in between shows.

We typically are in the same ring all weekend, but for some reason we were moved for Sunday's show. Sorry about that.

This is a very special opportunity for you to bid on commissioning a professional oil painting (12X18X16") of your dog based on a photograph. Her work has been recognized with a myriad of awards and her illustrations have been exhibited at the New York Society of Illustrators and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles and many galleries. Her love of dogs has led her to observe their nature through painting their portraits. Below you can see a two examples of her dog oil paintings and two landscapes.
