Three years running! 🎒 A huge thank you to MTS Health Partners for once again showing up for kids at their 3rd Annual Backpack Event, filling backpacks with everything the children in our Trauma Recovery and TSVP Programs need for a strong start to the school year!

Our whole team came together last week for a retreat, and it was exactly what we needed. We spent the day supporting each other and brainstorming new ways to support the children and families we serve. Lots of great conversations, and some of the team even visited the GrowNYC teaching garden.

Every child deserves a life free from trauma and adversity. At Healing New York, we are constantly reminded that healing is not an individual act. It’s something we nurture together, with families, allies, and communities standing shoulder to shoulder to ensure every child can grow up supported and safe.

This April, during Child Abuse Prevention Month, we joined our partners at the NYC Administration for Children's Services- ACS and fellow service providers at City Hall Park to attend the Pinwheels for Prevention celebration, honoring this critical work and those doing it every day. The pinwheels represent the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves.

The need is urgent, and the impact of this work will ripple through future generations.
