CSEA Metropolitan Region members were proud to stand with State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli at yesterday’s event as we continue building momentum for Election Day.

Tom has been a steadfast friend of working people, fighting to protect public services, defend workers’ rights, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. That’s why CSEA is proud to endorse his re-election.

Now it’s up to us to do our part. If you’re able, make a plan to vote early and encourage your family, friends, and coworkers to do the same. Every vote matters.

Want to do even more? Volunteer to help get out the vote and make sure our endorsed candidates cross the finish line. Together, we can elect leaders who stand with working families and public employees.

Last Friday, we proudly dedicated the George Boncoraglio Conference Room at the CSEA Metropolitan Region 2 Office, ensuring that the legacy of a remarkable union leader will continue to inspire generations of activists to come.

George Boncoraglio, former CSEA Region 2 President, was respected, admired, and loved by countless members and leaders throughout our union. A tireless advocate for working people, he dedicated his life to strengthening CSEA and mentoring activists who would carry the union forward.

We were honored to be joined by George’s wife, Maryanne Boncoraglio, daughter Jody Delrosario, Region 2 President Lester Crockett, longtime friend Marvin Anderman of Fine, Olin & Anderman, retired former Local President Vinnie Martusciello, Jeff Hyman, Adriane Hudson, Marcia Schiowitz, Deb Hanna, Patricia Favors, Roslyn Taylor, Rosetta Muhammad, Matt D’Amico, Jess Riley, and Neil Kelly as we celebrated George’s extraordinary contributions to our union.

Throughout the dedication, friends, colleagues, and fellow union activists shared stories about George, recalling his unwavering commitment to CSEA members and his reputation as a fierce fighter for Region 2 and working people everywhere. Their memories painted a picture of a leader whose passion, determination, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

This room will serve as a lasting reminder of George’s commitment to solidarity, leadership, and service. His legacy lives on not only within these walls, but through the countless activists he mentored, inspired, and empowered over the years.

Thank you, George. Your impact on CSEA will never be forgotten.

As we approach the beginning of early voting for the primary (June 13th). We have been asked to help Tom DiNapoli at various visibility sites throughout the city. We will be working out of labor sites from the UFT.

As they say, a time was had last night during the CSEA Metropolitan Region Member Appreciation event at Barclays in Brooklyn, where members — including Region 2 President Lester Crockett — gleefully witnessed a sweet victory by our hometown champs, the WNBA’s New York Liberty!

Special thanks to all the members and retirees who showed up representing every borough, multiple state agencies, and the private sector. Your energy, solidarity, and union pride made the night unforgettable. Events like these remind us that when CSEA comes together, we truly are One Voice for Many!
