The Detectives’ Endowment Association hosted a meeting of the New York State Public Safety Alliance, bringing union leaders and our state’s elected leaders together to learn more about Florida’s HALO Law and why New York needs similar protections for first responders.

DEA President Scott Munro invited Florida State Representative Alex Rizo to share how the law creates a buffer zone around working first responders. We thank Representative Rizo for coming to New York, for his partnership and for sharing his experience with us.

The DEA is fighting to pass legislation in New York to stop the doxing, harassment, and attacks targeting Detectives and other public safety professionals as they do their jobs.
