FINAL CHANCE to submit an EVAWI27 conference proposal to present in Washington, DC! 🚨

Time is running out, you have until Monday, June 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT to submit your proposal for EVAWI27: Collective Strength - Building Resilience Across Disciplines.

We are looking for innovative strategies to pursue justice in cases of s*xual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, human trafficking, elder abuse, and other gender-based crimes.

How can we facilitate new ways to support victims and seek justice? How can we overcome the barriers so many survivors face and remove those obstacles from future cases? Perhaps most important: How can we sustain positive momentum that ensures lasting change?

Since 2015, the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) has provided funding to enhance the criminal justice response to s*xual assault and hold offenders accountable by maximizing evidence found in s*xual assault kits (SAKs).

SAKI funding not only helps link victims to advocates and needed services, but it also helps jurisdictions implement best practices and comprehensive reform to bring perpetrators to justice and increase safety in communities by preventing future s*xual assaults.

Since 2015, SAKI has led to:
• 205,000+ kits inventoried
• 105,000+ kits sent for testing
• 20,000+ CODIS hits
• 3,000+ CODIS hits to serial s*x offenders
• 10,500+ CODIS hits to serial violent and non-s*x offenders
