🌱 Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM for our weekly gardening group!

We planted a whole batch of new additions with help from this week, and now it’s time to help them settle into their new home!!!
We’ll be checking on fresh plantings, and tackling some of the weeds that are already trying to move in.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious about what we’re growing in the park, we’d love to see you.
Stop by for a few minutes or stay for a few hours, every helping hand makes a difference.

There are just four days until we open ticket sales for Dinner on Duane 2026 in partnership with Eulalie! We hope you will be at the ready at 9am on Monday, June 1 to buy your tickets and support our efforts to maintain and preserve this lovely park.

Chef Chip Smith has created a menu evocative of a late summer picnic featuring tons of vegetables, grilled chicken, deviled eggs, terrine, panisses and more. Add in wine pairings from and , dessert from , coffee and tea from , and beautiful florals from , and you have a picture-perfect evening in Tribeca!

Tickets are $500 per person, with a limit of 2 tickets per purchase. This year’s Dinner on Duane has an estimated value of $341 per person, making $149 per person eligible as a charitable deduction. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Duane Park.

NEW! 📣 Applications are open for our 2026 Garden Futures Grants, which celebrate innovative and diverse gardening practices throughout the nation. They are awarded to nonprofits and small public gardens that:

🌿 Make a significant community impact through garden-based programming, with a focus on the environment and diverse populations; or
🌿 Contribute to the study and preservation of garden history.

The grants provide general operating support, typically $2,500 to $10,000. Applications are due July 15. We award two named grants:

✨ The Page Dickey Grant for American Gardens, awarded to a distinguished small public garden;
✨ The (NEW!) Nibbled Leaf Grant for Ecological Gardening, awarded to an organization taking bold steps to support ecosystems and biodiversity and educating others to do so.
