United States Poker Federation The United States Poker Federation (USPF) was established to serve as the national governing body for poker in the United States.

Its purposes, according to the USPF Constitution, are among others to promote the development of poker in the United States The USPF was incorporated in the state of Delaware on June 15, 2011, with the stated goal of the promotion of poker as a sport. The first president of the USPF is Peter Alson; Amy Handelsman is the executive director, positions to which they were elected by a board of directo

rs that includes Harvard Law professor Charles Nesson and author Jim McManus. For the first time in the history of poker, an official World Championship is to be staged later this year. Hosted by the IFP, along with its partners MSP and Dentsu, "The Table" will be the highlight of the IFP World Championship of Poker, part of four days of poker beginning on the iconic London Eye on the banks of the river Thames before moving to the County Hall.
