ONE WAS FOUND IN SOUNIO, ONE WAS FOUND ALONE IN VOULA. SOMEHOW THEY FOUND EACH OTHER. NOW THEY NEED YOU.

Clara's story starts with a French tourist in Sounio who noticed a mama cat wasn't well and made sure her babies got to safety. Their mum raised them with everything she had — and when she passed away from illness at five months old, she had already given them the most important thing: a foundation of love.

Puffy arrived separately, found alone in a yard in Voula with no mother in sight. A kind woman brought him to the sanctuary, and he was placed with Clara's mum — who accepted him immediately as her own. Just like that, these two became family.

They are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. They sleep side by side, play together, and find comfort in each other's presence. Both are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, healthy, and full of gentle kitten energy — chasing balls, climbing cat trees, exploring boxes, and napping in a pile after meals.

Both are a little shy at first, then warm and affectionate. Both are good with other cats. Both are quietly, completely wonderful.

AMELIA — IN WEIRD PLACES 😂

Amelia was born July 28th, 2025, arrived at the shelter in September after a kind couple in Saronida cared for her family, and has been chasing shadows and shoelaces ever since. All her health checks came back clear.

She's playful, affectionate, belly-rub-approved, and most alive in the evenings. She probably can't hear — she doesn't react to sounds at all — but you'd never know it from the joy she radiates. She explores, she climbs, she curls up with her brother, and she gets on with life with total confidence.

She'd love to be adopted with her brother Dandylion or her mum Cecelia — but wherever she goes, she'll bring the sunshine with her.

💛 Amelia doesn't need the world to be quieter. She just needs it to be hers.

✂️ 4,750+ sterilisations carried out — the most sustainable way to reduce the stray population humanely 
🏡 75+ S.M.A.R.T. Yards installed across multiple regions of Greece — safe feeding and shelter stations for community cats 
🌍 750+ international volunteers hosted at our sanctuaries over 19 years 
🎓 Education that lasts — through our S.M.A.R.T. video series and school outreach programme, we bring animal welfare education directly to children across Greece. Because the kids of today are the advocates of tomorrow.
These are not estimates. These are not marketing numbers. This is the work.
Every sterilisation means dozens fewer animals born into suffering. Every adoption means one animal off the street and into a loving home. Every S.M.A.R.T. Yard means a community cat is fed, sheltered, and cared for — with dignity. And every child who learns to treat animals with compassion is a step toward a Greece where this crisis no longer exists.
Greece has one of the highest stray animal populations in Europe. The problem is real. The crisis is visible to anyone who visits. We showed up 19 years ago and we are still here — because the work is not finished.

ROSALINA HAS MADE HUGE STEPS

Rosalina came from a hoarding situation — around 40 cats in small carriers, their owner visiting just once a week. That was her world. Until rescuers changed everything.

She's come so far. She'll let you approach her now, accepts gentle pets, and sometimes leans in — especially when treats are involved. Food is her love language, and she's not embarrassed about it. She still doesn't love sudden movements, but in a calm space with patient hands, she relaxes into the sweetest company.

Born August 2023, she's young, healthy, and ready — she just needs someone who'll move gently and mean it.

💛 One quiet home, one kind person. That's all Rosalina is asking for.
