The Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation (FEHSF) is sharing this because silence is costing lives.
“See Through The Darkness”—a powerful documentary by Frank X. Panico of Xs In The Sky Films—puts a human face on su***de prevention and survival within law enforcement and the military, and the lifelong impact su***de leaves behind.
At the center of the film is Carl David (SAS-AP) (AVDE-S), one of FEHSF’s most prominent supporters and the documentary’s Executive Producer (alongside Arlyn David). Carl’s story is real and unflinching: his brother died by su***de at just 22, and that loss changed his life instantly. With professional help, Carl fought his way back—carrying the permanent scar—and chose to speak publicly for one reason: to reach those who are close to the edge and remind them they are not alone.
The documentary also features a remarkable lineup of voices, including Dr. Jesse Collins (Army veteran, retired police officer), Kevin Donaldson (retired police officer and survivor), Matthew Werner (retired Naval Warfare Officer / SEAL Team 6), Matthew Thomas (storied Arizona Police Chief), Cary Reichbach (retired Special Forces / Founder of Grey Team), Patrick Fitzgibbons (Shatterproof), FHE Health / First Responder Mental Health, and Dr. Cathy Greenberg.
The film is available now to view via the official site (with a donation option).
Please watch, share, and start the conversations that keep people here tomorrow.
