Yad Sarah has been providing compassionate care to the people of Israel since 1976. Yad Sarah’s 24/7 Emergency Call Center provides critical support during urgent situations. Trained volunteers offer caller guidance, emotional support, connect callers to medical supervision, and dispatch ambulances as needed. Especially during national emergencies, Yad Sarah ensures that life-saving help is just a call away. Yad Sarah’s Emergency Call Center received more than 100,000 calls in 2025.

Pauline Apt has been volunteering at Yad Sarah’s Kiryat G*t branch for nearly 20 years. She got involved with Yad Sarah as an English teacher looking for a meaningful way to give back. Pauline started volunteering in the equipment lending department. She’s most proud of her time in Yad Sarah’s Homebound Outreach Program, where she helps address loneliness by matching volunteers with individuals who are elderly, ill, bedridden, or living alone.
