We are truly honored and grateful to have received the Saint Peter's University Service to Community award.
Saint Peter’s has always held a special place in my heart and in my family’s story. My parents met here, and they often spoke about the lasting impact Saint Peter’s had on their lives through the education, friendships, values, and sense of community they found here.
When we started JDJ, Saint Peter’s was the first place we wanted to make an impact in memory of my parents, Joe and Donna. The Jesuit ideal of being men and women for others was instilled in me early on, and supporting Saint Peter’s felt like the most meaningful way to honor my parents and give back to a community that gave so much to our family.
In 2018 we established an endowed scholarship at Saint Peter’s. Since then, that commitment has grown through our foundation, including scholarships for college students impacted by cancer. To date, we have awarded 32 scholarships totaling $117,000, including support for students pursuing nursing degrees at Saint Peter’s.
To me, scholarship means creating opportunity and making a direct, meaningful difference. It is more than financial support - it is an investment in a student’s future and in the wellbeing of their family. It is about opening doors, easing burdens, and reminding students that they are seen, supported, and believed in.
