🌟 Celebrating Five Years of Holocaust Music Lost & Found!

On November 12th, we will come together for a special evening of celebration, remembrance, and extraordinary music that tells stories of courage, resilience, and hope.
Over the past five years, we have grown in ways we could never have imagined, bringing the music and stories of Holocaust-era composers to audiences across the country.

As we celebrate how far we've come, we are reminded of why our mission matters more than ever: to preserve this remarkable musical legacy, educate future generations, and stand against antisemitism and hate.

We hope you will join us for this meaningful evening!

📌 Reclaiming More Music of Polish Composers: Refugees from World War II

On October 13, we were proud to collaborate with the Polish Chamber Musicians' Association, the American Society for Jewish Music, YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, and the Polish Cultural Institute New York for an extraordinary evening of music at the Center for Jewish History.

The concert brought to life rarely heard works by Szymon Laks, Mieczysław Weinberg, and Roman Ryterband: composers whose lives and careers were profoundly affected by the Holocaust and World War II.

Our heartfelt thanks to the remarkable musicians-- mezzo-soprano Hanna Hipp, violinist Jarosław Nadrzycki, cellist Yosif Feigelson, and pianist Grzegorz Mania-- for giving voice to this important musical legacy.

Through collaborations like these, we continue our mission of reclaiming and sharing music that history nearly silenced, preserving the composers' legacies, and inspiring new generations through the power of music.

🎵 Their music deserves to be heard. Their stories must never be forgotten.

We are honored to collaborate once again with the Polish Chamber Musicians' Association. Last year we worked together to present the music of Polish composers who were silenced during the Holocaust. This year we are bringing more of their music and stories to the stage.

We are presenting 3 concerts: The first is on October 13th in New York City. Our November schedule is for November 6th in Lincroft, New Jersey, and November 9th in Boston, Massachusetts

We are proud that we have successfully presented 27 programs since 2023. Our mission is to perform the music of the composers whose lives were upended by the Holocaust, sharing their stories and music with new audiences.

We could not have done these powerful programs alone. Every sponsor and donor, every consultant and advisor, every performer - have all been instrumental in helping us expand our outreach. Just as importantly, every audience member who comes and listens keeps this music alive with their memory. We thank you for making this possible.

On June 10th we presented “LOST MUSIC: DISCOVERED & RECOVERED" to a sold out audience at Congregation Rodeph Sholom.

The program featured music and poems that were performed by Holocaust Music Lost & Found Artist Jeanne Golan and Cantor Jeff Warschauer. The audience learned about the composers’ lives and heard their powerful music performed by these wonderful musicians.

We want to thank City Council Member Gale Brewer for her generous support and everyone at Congregation Rodeph Sholom... We look forward to continuing our mission of bringing Holocaust awareness through music.

On June 1st, we had a meaningful program at The Bronx High School of Science.

We presented music and stories of the composers affected by the Holocaust to their students. Holocaust Music Lost & Found artist Jeanne Golan played the pieces with emotion and skill, bringing to life the history they study.

This was followed by a private tour of the Stuart S. Elenko Holocaust Museum and Study Center on campus. The student-led presentations and museum exhibits reaffirmed the importance of holocaust remembrance held by new generations.

Josh Binderman, Deputy Director of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism, along with the members of the Mayor’s Office for Nonprofit Services, joined us for the program. We thank them for being there.

We are very grateful to City Council Member Eric Dinowitz of District 11 for underwriting this important program.
