Israel Day on Fifth

Israel Day on Fifth This year's Israel Day on Fifth will be on Sunday, May 18th! Our Celebrate Israel Initiative provides programs to inspire pride in the State of Israel.

It is an initiative created by JCRC-NY, in collaboration with UJA-Federation of New York, the Consulate General of Israel in New York and Israel’s Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs. The keystone event, the Celebrate Israel Parade, has become the world’s largest gathering in a non-partisan show of solidarity with the land and people of Israel.

Happy Yom Ha’atzmaut! Today we celebrate Israel’s independence, resilience, and the vibrant spirit of the Jewish people. It’s a day to reflect on our deep connection to the land of Israel and the values it represents — hope, strength, and unity. 💙✨

That’s why the Israel Day on Fifth Parade means so much. It’s more than just a march — it’s a powerful, joyful celebration of our pride and solidarity with Israel, right here in the heart of NYC. 🌍💫

Israel Day on Fifth, formerly known as the Celebrate Israel Parade, is an annual parade that started in 1965. What started as a grassroots show of solidarity has grown into one of the largest celebrations of Israeli culture and Jewish pride outside of Israel. 🎉💙

Marching up Fifth Avenue, thousands gather each year to honor Israel’s independence, showcase unity, and celebrate community — from vibrant floats and youth groups to elected officials and international delegations. 🌍🕊️

It’s more than a parade — it’s a living expression of connection, resilience, and shared heritage. 💫

Join us on Sunday for Israel Day on Fifth. Tens of thousands of participants will march up Fifth Avenue to demonstrate support for the people of Israel and draw renewed attention to the more than 120 hostages still held by Hamas since October 7, sending an urgent message to the world: “Bring Them Home Now!” For decades, Jewish New Yorkers and allies of all backgrounds have marched together up Fifth Avenue to showcase their love and support for Israel and its people and culture. While this year’s parade may be less festive in tone than other years, it is just as important, if not more important, to come together, and show our love and support for Israel and its people and culture. We are truly one people, one heart.
