Attention to all PD fighters and athletes in the NYC area. We’ve teamed up with Dr. Lice Ghilardi and her team at CUNY to bring you the first Moving Brains “PD training fitness camp” as part of her NIH grant. It is a pilot program to assess the compliance and feasibility of our outpatient exercise fitness program, compared to traditional models. It’s 3 times a week, 4 hours each day for 5-6 weeks. Our first session starts in June and almost full, but no worries! We’ll be running another camp in the Fall and 2-3 camps per year for the next 3 years.

There is space for a few more for June, so if interested, reach out asap! Our PD fighters and athletes expect more so we’re delivering more! Call or email us for more information.

Another Moving Brains session in Trinity. This time we see it through “Snow vision”, the point of view of the legendary , providing pad work, comedy and his unique philosophies to our fighter. A day at Trinity is never the same!

We also see our fighters with athletic director, John Duddy getting in rhythm, all at various of their journey. Always in movement, always in control. That’s why they might have PD, but they own it and are Moving Brains athletes!

P.S. If you listen carefully, John reveals Martin’s phone number, but please don’t pass along! Martin is usually training, curating photo from Trinity in the roaring ‘20s (lots of tough kids!), helping people with their mental health (in different ways!) or in church.

Moving Brains has a lot to celebrate and a lots of people to thank in 2025! We’re also excited and looking forwards to Moving Brains Together 2026!

We surpassed our goal of $15,000 with the online campaigns and private donations, which will be matched by a private donor! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your belief in our vision means the world!

There is still chance to support and donate!

We mean business and we got the stats to prove it! We’ll soon post our year in review (no space here!) but with your continued support we’ll continue expanding to get to your neighborhood and add more fighters to our roster. This year our family grew, we made new friends and mostly importantly, our fighters added quality years to their lives by becoming stronger and more resilient themselves. We were lucky enough to witness their hard work and dedication, and to them, we toast for a stronger and healthier 2026!

To Alan, Altagracia, Angela, Art, Beth, Blossom, Christian, Doug, Ed, Eloise, Fabiola, Fimia, Francisco J., Francisco P., Janet, Joan, Joe, Jon, Jonathan, Judy, Karen, Keith, Larry, Lisa, Maria, Miguel, Miwa, Nazario, Pat, Paul, Pedro S., Pedro V., Rachel, Rafael, Raul, Silvia, Susie, Tom, Victor M., Victor S. and Virginia.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

From the Moving Brains Family: Jose, John, Angie, Djibril, Nick, Jason, Bethina and all the other trainers, people and groups that support us!

New York City. One last tasting before the year ends! One of the biggest surprises of 2025. Take advantage! Even our fitness/boxing trainers are tasting and coming back (that should tell you something!).

But no worries. Next year we’re coming stronger!

A Taste of Dance will be WEEKLY in 2026 . No experience needed but be prepared to challenge your brain and body! Thanks to all the good people at Steps that opened their doors. We are truly honored to be among such a vibrant community!

Please JOIN, SUPPORT, DONATE AND/OR SPREAD THE WORD!!! 👍🙏💪🎁🗣️

If you are fighting PD and plan to visit NYC next year, especially for a Broadway show, consider this extra treat. Come train with a Broadway dancer, and the classes will also be available online (the first Moving Brains online!). If you try it and like it, you can continue at home.

We are proud to have Alan Onickel, a Moving Brains fighter, as our dance teacher. Alan has been fighting Parkinsonism and recovering from a near-fatal car accident in South Africa. After his “forced” retirement, he has been healing and back to teaching internationally, so we are truly honored to witness his return to the school he taught for 30 years, .

Come for the tasting of tap dancing and theater jazz styles, broken down in bite size chunks everyone can follow, but still be prepared to challenge your 🧠!
