🕊️ A Call to Prayerful Discernment
As we prepare for the upcoming General and Jurisdictional Conference elections, Black Methodists for Church Renewal (NYAC) invites the members of the New York Annual Conference to join us in prayer, reflection, and faithful discernment.
This year, the Annual Conference will elect:
• 3 Clergy Delegates
• 3 Lay Delegates
• 3 Clergy Alternate Delegates
• 3 Lay Alternate Delegates
These delegates will help shape the future direction of our denomination and represent the voice, witness, and ministry of our conference in the wider church.
For decades, BMCR has worked to strengthen the Black Church within The United Methodist Church and to advocate for justice, equity, and the full participation of Black United Methodists in every level of church leadership. As part of that mission, as the New York Chapter, we are pleased to share the servant leaders whom BMCR -NYAC is supporting in this election cycle.
We offer these names not merely as candidates, but as faithful servants who have demonstrated commitment to the church, courageous leadership, and a passion for justice and beloved community.
May we approach this election season guided by the Holy Spirit, grounded in prayer, and committed to the work of building a church that reflects God's vision of dignity, love, and justice, for all people.
