Being emotionally strong does not mean never crying, never struggling, or always having it together.

Emotional strength looks like:

Naming what you feel.
Asking for help.
Taking a break before reacting.
Talking instead of shutting down.
Trying again after a hard day.
Learning what helps you feel grounded.

Strength is not pretending you’re okay.

Sometimes strength is saying, “I’m not okay, and I need someone to talk to.”

That is brave.

For just $125, you can help cover the cost of one full counseling session for a teen at Brandon’s House.

That means your gift can help create a safe space where a teenager can be heard, supported, encouraged, and reminded that they are not alone.

Brandon’s House is a free outpatient counseling center for teens in the Kentuckiana region, and we are 100% supported by the local community through donations, fundraisers, and local grants. Every gift helps keep the doors open for teens and families who are hurting and need help.

Summer break can be great — but less structure can also make emotions feel louder.

Without the routine of school, some teens may experience more:

Anxiety
Loneliness
Mood changes
Sleep changes
Conflict at home
Too much screen time
Loss of motivation

That doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with them. It may mean they need support, structure, and connection.

A simple summer rhythm can help:
Sleep. Move. Eat. Connect. Talk.

Small routines can create big emotional stability.

Teenagers hear a lot of voices telling them who they should be.

Be more popular.
Be more successful.
Be more athletic.
Be more perfect.
Be more like everyone else.

But identity is not built by comparison. It grows when teens feel safe enough to ask:

Who am I?
What matters to me?
What do I need?
What kind of person am I becoming?

A healthy identity starts with a safe place to be honest.

At Brandon’s House, we help teens process the pressure, the questions, and the emotions that come with growing up.

Summer can be a season of rest, fun, and freedom — but for many teens, it can also bring loneliness, pressure, comparison, and uncertainty.

This June, we’re focusing on Teen Identity, Growth & Empowerment.

Because every teen deserves to know:
You are not your anxiety.
You are not your mistakes.
You are not the pressure you feel.
You are growing, learning, healing, and becoming.

At Brandon’s House, we believe teens need safe spaces to talk, process, and discover who they are beyond the noise.

You are not alone. You are becoming.

Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us why Brandon’s House exists.

Behind every counseling session is a young person who needs a safe place to talk.
Behind every appointment is a family hoping their teen finds healing.
Behind every gift is a community saying, “You matter. We’re with you.”

When you support Brandon’s House, you help provide hope and healing for teens right here in our community.

This month, we invite you to be part of the mission.

Because mental health awareness is important — but access to care changes lives.

To the parent wondering if their teen is “just going through a phase”…

Maybe they’ve pulled away.
Maybe their emotions feel bigger than usual.
Maybe they seem anxious, angry, quiet, overwhelmed, or just not themselves.

You don’t have to have all the answers. And your teen doesn’t have to carry it alone.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that asking for help is not a sign of failure — it’s an act of love.

At Brandon’s House, we provide counseling and support for teens and families who need a safe place to begin.

Your teen’s story is not over. There is help. There is hope.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and at Brandon’s House, this matters deeply.

Every week, teens walk through our doors carrying things many people never see: anxiety, grief, depression, family stress, trauma, pressure, loneliness, and fear.

But they also walk in with hope.

At Brandon’s House, we believe no teen should have to face mental health challenges alone. Through counseling, support, and a safe place to be heard, we help teens take steps toward healing.

This month is more than awareness.
It’s a reminder that every young person deserves help, hope, and someone who cares.

You are not alone. Help is here.
