Calling all boys in grades 5 to 8!

Through Mental Health Grants at Scribner and Hazelwood Middle Schools, the NAFC Education Foundation has already seen how The DUDE Project Foundation helps boys build confidence, resilience, and real connections with each other. Now we’re excited to help bring that same experience to boys in grades 5 to 8 across the district.

DUDE Night is a free monthly evening of food, games, team challenges, mentorship, and honest conversation.

📅 Second Tuesday of every month, 6:00 to 7:30 PM
🎉 First night: Tuesday, November 10 (kickoff dinner provided by Buffalo Wild Wings!)
📍 NAFCS Administrative Support Center, 2813 Grant Line Road, New Albany

Space is limited to 25 boys, and registration closes November 1.

We love seeing this! 💛 Mental health matters on and off the mat, and we’re proud to support the New Albany HS Cheerleaders through a Mental Health Grant. Thank you to Jenny McKim for helping these athletes build calm, confidence, and strength!

HUGE THANK YOU to the New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation for our Mental Health Grant for Mental Performance Coaching.

This grant will allow us to participate and engage in Mental Performance Coaching sessions led by licensed counselor, Jenny McKim.

Jenny brings calm, confidence, and strength to our athletes, and we are so thankful to her, and to the Foundation for making this possible!!! ❤️❤️❤️

October brought another round of Great Classroom Grants to NAFC classrooms! 🍎 This month, the NAFC Education Foundation awarded 29 grants totaling $27,470 across 13 schools.

Here are a few of the projects your generosity is funding:

🦉 Highland Hills Middle School: owl pellets and reusable lab materials so 6th graders can investigate ecosystems and food chains firsthand
🦅 Scribner Middle School: a visit from Raptor Rehab of Kentucky (RROKI) plus classroom books for student research projects
🖨️ Greenville Elementary: a 3D printer and supplies for the K-4 Learning Lab
🌱 Prosser Career Education Center: “Growing Future Farm Friends,” where high school Early Childhood Education students and their preschool buddies grow, harvest, and taste healthy foods together
🎺 Floyd Central High School: professional instrumental performers working alongside band students
📖 New Albany High School: a class set of Romeo & Juliet so every English 9 student has a copy

These grants also bought decodable books, sensory tools, math and literacy centers, and hands-on materials for students in every grade from preschool to 12th.

Happy Foundation Appreciation Day!

Today, we’re celebrating 21 years of the NAFC Education Foundation supporting students and educators across New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation.

To mark the day, cookies are being delivered to every NAFCS school and work location as a small thank-you to the teachers, staff, and administrators who do so much for our students and our community.

A special thank-you to the amazing NAFCS Food Services/Culinary team for making today’s treats!

$66,546 invested in student mental health. 💜

In 2026, the NAFC Education Foundation awarded funding for 40 Mental Health Grants supporting students and educators across New Albany Floyd County Schools.

These grants are helping schools create supportive environments, strengthen student connection and belonging, and provide resources that address the mental health needs educators are seeing every day.

Thank you to the educators who brought forward thoughtful ideas and to the donors who make this funding possible.

Another $47,924 in Great Classroom Grants hit NAFC classrooms this September, funding 65 projects at 15 schools! From speech therapy tools and CPR supplies to math manipulatives and expanding classroom libraries, these grants are putting resources directly in the hands of New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation teachers and students.

Thank you to our donors for making it happen. That brings our total for the 2026-27 school year to more than $102,700 so far!
