Oh, the Things We Have Done! Welcome Back!
🍂 Part One: The Parking Lot Hustle
The doors were closed, the cars were parked,
But outside our walls, a mission was sparked!
Harvest Homecoming brought quite the crowd,
With cars and excitement and laughter so loud!
We waved and we parked, we directed all day,
Helping our neighbors find just the right way!
Some old friends stopped by, familiar faces we'd see,
With stories and smiles and a memory or three!
But parking those cars was more than just fun,
There was purpose and heart behind all we'd done!
For each dollar raised, we're proud to say,
Supports youth programs at our Floyd County Y!
Helping young people to learn, thrive, and grow,
Building bright futures wherever they go!
🧹 Part Two: The Great Scrub-a-Dub Refresh!
While you were away, we got quite the notion,
To scrub, shine, and polish with plenty of motion!
We painted some walls where the swimmers all play,
Then drained out the pools and washed grime away!
The gym floor was resurfaced, all shiny and bright,
Ready for sneakers and games played just right!
We washed all the windows, we scrubbed every floor,
We dusted and polished from ceiling to door!
From Kids Club to Wellness, we cleaned every space,
With buckets and brushes all over the place!
Group Ex studios? We gave them a shine!
Aquatics and lobby? They're looking quite fine!
Our teams worked together, each doing their part,
With mops in their hands and our members at heart!
We scrubbed and we buffed, we worked with great pride,
No dust bunny anywhere was safe enough to hide!
💜 Part Three: The Mission Never Takes a Break!
But wait! While the scrubbing and painting took place,
Our mission kept moving at quite a fast pace!
Fall Break Camp brought adventures and fun,
With laughter and learning for everyone!
For families at work, we were still here to care,
With games and activities and friendships to share!
And Teen Vibe Camp had a mission to do,
Helping young people learn what's healthy and true!
Building relationships with kindness and care,
Learning respect and the good things we share!
For even when closed, there's still work to be done,
Our Y's about people — and not just the fun!
❤️ Part Four: Welcome Back — You're Our WHY!
Now, are we all finished? Well, not quite just yet!
A few little projects aren't finished, you bet!
But progress is progress, and pride's running high,
Just look at our spaces — oh me, oh my!
And now that you're back, here's what we must say:
You're the reason we do what we do every day.
Not the floors, not the paint, not the sparkling blue pool,
Not the windows, the weights, or the gym looking cool.
It's the people who gather, the friendships that grow,
The smiles and the stories, the hellos that we know.
You give us our purpose, our passion, our why,
The reason we reach for the stars in the sky!
For a building's just walls, no matter how grand,
It's the people inside who make this place stand.
So thank you, dear members, for all that you do,
For making this place something special and true.
Our building may sparkle, our floors may shine bright,
But YOU are what makes this whole place feel just right!
