Some arrive with construction experience, while others learn new skills alongside fellow volunteers over time. Together, they help create a safe, productive build site and make homeownership possible for local families.

TRUTH TUESDAY!

🏠 More than half of Clark County renters are housing cost-burdened.

Families across Southern Indiana are working hard, yet many are spending so much on housing that there's little left for childcare, healthcare, transportation, savings, or emergencies.

According to a recent regional housing study:
• 52% of Clark County renters are housing cost-burdened.
• 42% of Floyd County renters are housing cost-burdened.
• One-third of local households earn less than $50,000 annually.

Habitat for Humanity helps families achieve affordable homeownership, creating stability today and opportunity for generations to come.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Who remembers March 2, 2012?

When devastating tornadoes swept through Henryville, lives were changed in an instant. But what followed was something powerful: a community that came together to rebuild, recover, and restore hope.

In the year that followed, Habitat for Humanity helped create the Twin Oaks Neighborhood, providing safe, affordable homes and a fresh start for families affected by the disaster.

Were you there when the storm hit? Did you volunteer, donate, build, or support the recovery efforts in some way? Do you remember raising walls, planting trees, or welcoming neighbors home?
