IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING ART ON THE PARISH GREEN
December 8, 2020

Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID pandemic, the Art on the Parish Green executive committee has made the decision to cancel AoPG for June 2021. Because the planning/pre-festival activities need to begin as early as December 2020, there is currently too much uncertainty to start working on the festival. The COVID pandemic is on the increase again, and the open use of our parish grounds/buildings has been put on hold indefinitely by the Bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis (our governing body). Even if a vaccine becomes available in the next months, it will likely not be effectively distributed by next spring. A community event which has as its goal the gathering of thousands of people into a small area to interact with artists in booths was simply not an activity which we were willing to plan and promote at this time.

Because this is the second summer that the festival will not be held, the executive committee also unanimously decided that the current AoPG committee be disbanded. Should the parish decide to resume this program in the future, it's leadership and structure will be re-evaluated to ensure that we can provide the best experience possible in the "new normal" in which we land. We thank you for supporting the festival in the past and look forward to seeing what the future may hold.

Regretfully,
The Art on the Parish Green Executive Committee

Kevin Rose Schultz and Trish Korte create eco dyed & printed scarves, ladies clothing & accessories. Among their wearable artwork you can find silk and wool/silk blend scarves printed with botanicals, as well as gently used and new clothing printed and dyed with botanicals. The effect is striking!

Since Art on the Parish Green will not be having an in-person art show this year due to COVID-19, we have offered our artists a place in a "virtual art show."

We will be posting artist information and photos here on the AotPG facebook. If you are interested in any artist's wares, we will be providing you with ways to get in touch with artists (websites, emails, etsy pages, etc.) in order to purchase said wares!

We will miss seeing your faces this year, but hopefully we will be able to be together again soon. Show our artists some love, y'all!
