👀 Yesterday WGN News and Erin McElroy shared clips from our adventures and LLLDAM meetups at Brookfield Zoo, and we got a little teary watching.

🧡 They featured the Limb Difference Collective Foundation, because our co-founder, Ali Barnum, was named a WGN Remarkable Woman Remarkable Women 2026 earlier this year, a recognition from Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Nexstar Media Group and WGN.

Now they're looking for next year's Remarkable Women in the Chicagoland area. Do you know someone showing up for their community? Nominate her! And take a minute to look at the other organizations that have been recognized. There are so many good people doing good work right here 💕

Jesselyn Bryant, an Occupational Therapy Doctoral Student at Presbyterian College, is researching the needs of parents and caregivers of children with limb differences, from both the family side and the physician side. The goal is to find the real gaps in care so future families get better support from day one.

⚽Field trip! 🖤 LDCF families: join us Saturday, October 4th at 3 PM as Chicago Stars FC takes on Denver Summit Football Club at Northwestern Medicine Field.

The Chicago Stars are making some big changes to their team and ready to come out strong and in the Denver Summit's first season they're definitely making a name for themselves!

We're especially excited to cheer on Carson Pickett, Defender for Denver, because there's nothing like watching your kid watch a pro who looks just like them 🥹 We'll be in the North Front Half, Section N3, with a group discount from our friends at GLASA - Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (the kids at their Camp Trek got to meet some of the players this summer!) Plus, it's a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with the Nuestra Ciudad promos, so it's shaping up to be a great event!
