We had the incredible opportunity to help an incoming college student move into Belmont University | Nashville, TN đľ âand it wasnât just any student. It was Madisyn! đđť
We first met Madisyn through our partnership with Johnson Learning Center , an alternative school here in Nashville. Too often, when young people enter alternative schools, statistics try to predict how their stories will end.
But through our âJust Usâ Mentoring Program, we remind our teens that they are not a bunch of numbers that tell statisticsâthey are a collection of words that tell stories. And they get to keep writing their story.
Madisynâs story is one of resilience, perseverance, determination, and faith. Weâve had the privilege of watching her continue to push forward, overcome obstacles, and refuse to allow circumstances to define her future.
And now, the next chapter begins at Belmont University!
