Meet the Cast: 🌟Romeo and Juliet 🌟
Your Mercutio/Balthasar/Paris/Montague is ... David Long III!
David Long III is elated to be working with NSF again in this production. He is thrilled to be playing his dream role from his favorite play: Romeo and Juliet. David is an actor, singer, and writer. He received his BFA in Acting from Lipscomb University in 2024. You can usually find him with his headphones on pretending to read a book to look mysterious. Recent credits include Hamlet (Hamlet), Whizzer (Falsettos), Launce (Two Gentlemen of Verona), Ophelio (Hamlet), and more. David thanks his family, friends, and Beyoncé for their support!

And the winner is... Nashville Shakes! We are so honored to receive the Nashville Scene Best of Writer's Choice Award for Best Ensemble for our co-production of Fat Ham with Nashville Repertory Theatre!

But wait, there's more! Our very own Caroline Conner, who recently played Helena in our production of A Midsummer's Night Dream, was named the Best Emerging Theater Artist!

Please join us in welcoming Jordan Tudor Haggard to the Nashville Shakespeare Festival team as our new Artistic Operations Manager! 🎉

Jordan is a Nashville native and local actor, teacher, and intimacy director. She is thrilled to share her love of the Bard with Middle Tennessee! She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Roosevelt University and an MFA in Acting from The University of Louisville. She is a current theatre adjunct at Lipscomb University and has worked in theatre administration for the past five years. She's been seen on stage around town at Studio Tenn, Nashville Rep, Street Theatre, The Nashville Children's Theatre, and NSF!

This fall, our SEE Tour will bring Shakespeare’s iconic story of love, family, and conflict to students and audiences across the region through performances and interactive workshops.

Tour bookings are still available for the 2026–27 school year, with additional student matinees and public performances.

What is the SEE Tour? SEE stands for Shakespeare Education Experience - our touring program that brings Shakespeare directly to schools and communities across the region.

Each tour includes an abridged professional production, plus interactive workshops that help students explore the story, language, and characters in a way that feels active and approachable. This year, we’re touring Romeo and Juliet!

We’re not quite done looking back at A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 💛

9,364 people joined us in Centennial Park this summer over 21 performances - the biggest crowd we have had in 8 years! We loved being back at the Bandshell. Thank you, Nashville, for coming home with us.

This fall, NSF’s Shakespeare Education Experience (SEE) Tour brings Shakespeare’s most famous love story directly to schools and communities across the region.

Directed by Madison Kisst, this bold, contemporary production features five actors telling the epic story in just one hour, creating a fast-paced, accessible Shakespeare experience designed to engage students and audiences alike. Bring Romeo & Juliet to your school or community this fall. Bookings are now available!

SEE Tour: October 19–November 4�
Daytime School and Homeschool Matinees: November 5-6
