October is here! 🎃 If you enjoy pumpkin carving, the farm would be happy to take your pumpkins when you’re done! We can feed them to our animals, or compost them - whole or carved pumpkins only please though (no painted pumpkins!!)

First Fall TreeCycle was a success! Our bike team worked in the shop on repairs, while another crew tended to the orchard mulching and watering!

New (ish) goat just dropped! Pinocchio moved in at the farm this summer but we haven’t had a chance to formally introduce him yet! Everyone say hi 🤩

What a great end to move-in week! We’ve been hard at work at the farm all summer, but we’re so excited to welcome back our returning students, and meet new ones! Huge shout-out to the group of freshmen and transfer students who volunteered at the farm this morning and helped pick up trash, mulch, and clear out invasive plants!

Open bike shops, starting next week! Come get expert help repairing your existing bike, or start building your own from scratch! Every Thursday afternoon from 3-6, right here at our campus bike shop at 49 Hart St, at the farm building on Trevecca’s campus!

The Urban Farm is hiring a bike mechanic for our TreeCycle program! We are seeking a kind, dedicated person who loves working with young people, has strong experience as a bike mechanic, and holds a personal commitment to environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities will include repairing bikes, keeping bike shop clean, stocked, and organized, leading group bike rides with TreeCycle and college participants, and selling bikes to the public.

So many flowers in bloom this time of year! Don’t forget you can buy your own bouquet through our market site (linked in bio)! Right now we have zinnias, calendula, black eyed susans, cosmos, purple coneflower, and more! Each small bouquet comes in a glass jar - just one of the ways we repurpose used jelly jars at the farm!
