When Magan joined Our ChanceTN, she was facing uncertainty as the factory where she worked prepared to close. Since then, she has earned her GED, CNA, and Medical Assistant certifications while raising four children and balancing work and school.

With support from her Our ChanceTN case manager, Laura, Magan kept moving forward and is now looking ahead to her next goal: becoming an LPN.

Her advice to other parents pursuing their goals? “Baby steps count. Stay consistent. Keep going. Don’t stop. It’s never too late.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Care Night and Caregiver Summer Resource Fair!

Caregivers and their families connected with local employers, community partners, and resources while enjoying an evening of food, activities, and community at Martha O’Bryan Center.

From career opportunities and professional headshots to free professional clothing and family resources, the event created space for caregivers to build connections, explore opportunities, and access support as they continue working toward their goals.

We are grateful to every caregiver, employer, community partner, and member of the TAEM team who helped make the evening possible. Thank you for showing up, sharing your resources, and helping create opportunities alongside caregivers and their families!

Happy Fourth of July!

Today, we celebrate the values of freedom, opportunity, and community. We are grateful for the caregivers who work every day to create new opportunities for themselves and their families, and for the partners, coaches, and communities who help support those journeys toward greater economic mobility and long-term success.

This Fourth of July, we celebrate the power of community and the opportunities we create together. Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful holiday.

A few weeks ago, during the final full collaborative meeting for the Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility, partners and staff serving families across 16 Middle Tennessee counties gathered at Martha O'Bryan Center to reflect on four years of work, celebrate accomplishments, and share gratitude.

As part of the gathering, each partner organization created a visual reflection of their journey over the past four years. These displays provided a meaningful opportunity to look back on the incredible work accomplished together, the challenges overcome, and the lives impacted along the way.

Together, our collaborative efforts have resulted in:

• More than 1,300 families enrolled

• An average income increase of over $20,000

• More than $2.25 million mobilized directly to families

• A 70% increase in family stability, as measured by the Arizona Self-Sufficiency Matrix

While these outcomes are significant, they tell only part of the story. The relationships built, lessons learned, and countless moments of growth experienced by families, caregivers, and partners over the past four years represent a lasting impact that extends far beyond the numbers.

We remain deeply grateful to every partner, staff member, and family who contributed to this work and helped make this collaborative effort possible.

The Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility (TAEM) is proud to share the latest milestones from our collective efforts across 16 Middle Tennessee counties. Our dedicated coaches, partners, and community members have worked side-by-side with families to drive true, lasting economic mobility, and the data speaks for itself:

1,300+ Families Enrolled
$20,000+ Average Income Increase per family
$2.25 Million+ in Direct Funding Mobilized to families
70% Family Stability Achieved (as defined by the Arizona Self-Sufficiency Matrix)
