Community Care Fellowship

Community Care Fellowship Community Care Fellowship: Serving Nashville's unhoused and socially displaced for more than 40 years.

The mission of Community Care Fellowship: Serving Christ by providing hope, love, and resources to our neighbors experiencing housing insecurity. CCF provides showers, laundry services and meals to Nashville’s homeless community, meeting these basic needs with the love, kindness and compassion of Christ. While this will always remain a core component of CCF’s community outreach, we are also striv

ing to break the cycle of poverty through working with the children and youth in our community. It is critical to equip our at-risk children and youth with the skills they need to be successful in the classroom, so that they can pursue educational and vocational opportunities that enable them to be self-sufficient, productive members of our community. Our goal is for the children we work with to never darken our doorstep in need of a shower or hot meal.

McKendree United Methodist Church isn't just where CCF started - it's where the question that drives everything we do was first asked: how do we serve our neighbors without injuring their dignity?

That was 1981. Today, Restoration Pointe at McKendree continues to answer that question as a men's housing hub in the heart of downtown Nashville.

Swipe to see how one Thursday lunch became 40+ years of showing up.

It started with a Thursday lunch and a question: how do we treat every person who walks through that door with dignity?

In 1981, two men at McKendree UMC — Rev. "Rock" Hardaway, Ken, and Carol Powers — chose to answer that question with their lives. What began with 8 neighbors grew to 90. And it never stopped growing.

Today, CCF operates serveral sites across Nashville, but the heartbeat is the same. This summer, we're pulling back the curtain on This Is CCF — the people, places, and stories that make this work possible. First stop: McKendree, where it all began.

May has been a beautiful reminder of why we do this work — serving our neighbors, meeting needs, and living out the radical hospitality that is at the heart of everything CCF does. Now, we are excited to share something we have been working on all spring. Our Executive Director, Ryan, has a few words to introduce our newest campaign, “This Is CCF,” and to take you back to where it all began!

As Nashville's summer heat intensifies, please keep our neighbors experiencing homelessness in your prayers. The rising temperatures make life on the streets especially dangerous and difficult. Right now, one of the most pressing needs is simple but vital: bottled water, underwear, and socks.

These are among the most requested and least donated items at our resource hubs, and fresh ones can make an enormous difference in someone's daily comfort. If you'd like to help, donations of new underwear and socks can be dropped off at any of our Nashville locations, or you can shop directly from our Amazon Wishlist and have items sent straight to us.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free. As we gather with family, friends, and community this Memorial Day, may we reflect with gratitude, pray for those who serve, and remember those who gave everything. ❤️🇺🇸

We wanted to recap our fundraising breakfast for Community Care Fellowship at Hermitage Golf Course! We had good fellowship, heard from CCF staff & volunteers, & talked about how to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness in the greater Nashville area.

Because of the generous support from our guests and everyone else who donated during our ‘Meet Your Neighbor’ campaign, we are so excited to say not only did we meet our financial goal, but we exceeded it! We thank the Lord for bringing the right people to hear this message and we thank everyone who came out to support CCF! Be on the lookout for future breakfast & events dates!

💙MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS💚

Through this campaign, we’ve invited you to get to know the individuals and families who make up Community Care Fellowship guests. Today, we share a story of reunion and resilience with a family of five, whom we have recently been able to support because of your generosity.

The family came to us navigating homelessness alongside deeply complex challenges. The mother was managing her own mental health while caring for her oldest daughter with a disability, who required significant daily support. They were staying in an overcrowded women's shelter, a temporary roof, but an incomplete one. The father could not be there with them, even as his presence was vital to the health and well-being of their child.

Without transportation, the father commuted over 35 minutes each way to work. The family relied on city buses to get their oldest child to school. Each day required extraordinary effort, and yet they kept showing up for each other, and for the future they were working toward.
