Last week’s All In for Kids Breakfast was a morning full of celebration, including honoring two longstanding partners! 🏆

Dr. Adrienne Battle, Superintendent of Metro Nashville Public Schools, received the Alice Chapman Advocacy Award. Under her leadership, our MNPS partnership has grown from three schools in 2012 to 24 today, including every school in the Maplewood Cluster.

Jackson received the All In for Kids Award for contributing more than $285,000 since 2016 and showing up in person to assemble basic needs kits and Snack Packs for students.

There was love in the room this morning! ❤️ We're borrowing those words from Mr. James, our Program Manager at Jere Baxter Middle School, because they sum up our sold-out All In for Kids breakfast perfectly.

At Communities In Schools of Tennessee, so much of our work starts with one simple question: "What is getting in the way?" When a student is missing school because of hunger, a lack of clean clothes, or no reliable ride, our school-based teams step in with the resources and encouragement they need to keep moving forward.

“We’re not just a school; we’re a community.” 💙

CISTN’s Warner Exchange at Warner Arts Magnet Elementary is built on a simple belief: parenting is hard, and when families get their children to school, they deserve support in return.

Students earn "Warner Bucks" through consistent attendance, which families can use for essentials like hygiene products, laundry detergent, clothing and household items - as well as special experiences with school staff. Community partners have also donated theater tickets and uniforms, creating even more opportunities for Warner students and families.

We’re so proud of Warner Elementary’s CISTN Program Manager, Ms. J and the difference she is making for Warner families every day. Thank you to and Maggie Weaver TV for sharing this story, and to everyone who makes The Warner Exchange possible.

From coordinating volunteer events and supporting school activities to providing individual case management and connecting students and families with critical resources, our Program Managers wear a lot of hats — and they show up every day ready to make a difference.

They are the backbone of Communities In Schools, building relationships, removing barriers, and making sure students and families know they have someone in their corner.

This Site Coordinator Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating our incredible Program Managers and the heart, dedication, and care they bring to their schools each and every day. We are so grateful for the way they show up for students, families, and communities across Tennessee!
