Congratulations to Dr. Louise Chickie-Wolfe and The Munster Jr. Historical Society on a fantastic 250th Birthday Celebration – An Old Fashion Community Birthday Party to Celebrate the Birth of our Nation!

From the marching band and student history presentations to the ice cream social, costume contest, birthday cake, and even pony rides, the event was a wonderful celebration of community, history, and patriotism.

“We just wanted to do something nice and special for our children and community to celebrate this inspiring occasion,” said Dr. Chickie-Wolfe.

Hospice of the Calumet Area is incredibly grateful to Serena Hewitt and the entire Hewitt family for their continued support of our mission.

Last month marked the 20th Annual Jim Hewitt Good Friday Bowl, a meaningful event that continues to raise awareness and support for Hospice of the Calumet Area and the American Brain Tumor Association. We were humbled to accept a generous $6,100 donation and are deeply thankful for the Hewitt family’s unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of so many.
