PSA!!

The front entrance to the office is NOW located at the SOUTHWEST corner of the building. With construction going on, we have people walking through the hall trying to figure this out. So please share this to your friends! Also, we now have a temporary drop box that is located by the SOUTHWEST door. Please see the photos for reference!

On April 28, we observe Workers’ Memorial Day to honor and remember the workers who have lost their lives or suffered injuries and illnesses due to their jobs.

In remembering our fallen and injured workers, we draw inspiration from their sacrifices to work harder for the safety and welfare of all workers. We must never forget the lives forever impacted by occupational incidents, illnesses, and diseases.

April 15th and 16th our phones and internet will be down. Therefore, we will be CLOSED. We will be OPEN on Friday, April 17th. On and after April 17th, the dues window will be located through the southwest door until further notice. Any questions, please call the office.

Last Saturday was a huge success in Newton County. A big thank you to all of the volunteers that showed up and worked on clearing debris, cutting up trees and fixing fences.

As most of you know, Lake Village was in the path of the tornado last week. Any members that are willing to help volunteer some time and efforts, please comment on this post and we will send you an address via text message or facebook message.

If you can volunteer, they plan on starting at 9:00 AM this Saturday, March 21st. They need help clearing debris and cutting up trees. If you have any type of demo saws, please bring them with you.

Also, if you own or have access to any equipment like a bobcat with a grabber or a bucket, it would be helpful and appreciated.

Unfortunately, Richard Chumbley passed away last week. Rick was a member of Local 41 and retired in 2002. He also served in the US Army. Visitation with be from 2PM-6PM at Kuiper Funeral Home. Our condolences to the family and friends of Rick.

Sadly, Robert "Bob" Szany passed away this week. Bob was an active member of Local 41 for 24 years. Visitation for Bob will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:30 PM. Our condolences to the family and friends of Bob.
