SAFE Coalition for Human Rights (SAFE CHR) is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable girls in India from sex trafficking and child labor. Founded by Dr. Kalyani Gopal, a clinical psychologist and human rights advocate based in Indiana, SAFE CHR works at the grassroots level to address trafficking at its source. Our work focuses on:
β€’ Conducting on-ground vis

its to high-risk regions such as Jharkhand
β€’ Establishing Trauma Training Centers to support survivors and prevention efforts
β€’ Sponsoring education for children in rural communities
β€’ Collaborating with NGOs, law enforcement, and policymakers
β€’ Engaging directly with affected communities, including red-light districts

We believe that real change begins with awareness, prevention, and long-term support systems. SAFE CHR also brings together global experts, advocates, and leaders through initiatives like the SAFE 2027 Conference in New Delhi to drive collective action against human trafficking. Our mission is simple yet powerful:
Building Resilience. Reimagining Wholeness.

Education shouldn’t depend on where a child is born.

In many communities, learning doesn’t stop because children lack potential β€” it stops because they lack access, resources, and consistent support.

At SAFE CHR, we’re working to change that by creating learning spaces where education continues, even in the most underserved areas.

But real impact goes beyond access.
It’s about sustained support, community involvement, and giving every child a fair chance to build a better future.

This is where your support matters ❀️
Your donation helps us keep these learning environments active, support local educators, and ensure children don’t have to leave education behind.

Every contribution β€” big or small β€” creates real, lasting change.

Taking the conversation where it needs to be heard.

SAFE CHR recently featured on radio show WLTH Radio hosted by Dr Seabrook with guest Dr Kalyani Gopal and supported by Chelsea Stalling Whittington to discuss the upcoming 40 bed safe house - repurposing of a building we now own, our upcoming SAFE 2027 Conference and the ongoing training initiatives across India and the United States.

From raising awareness to building actionable solutions, these conversations play a critical role in bringing together voices from different sectors β€” all working toward a shared goal: preventing human trafficking and strengthening protection systems.

A Better Way Home is more than a Safe House - its freedom from the chains of abuse.

SAFE 2027 is more than a conference.
It is a platform for collaboration, learning, and global action.
Because real change happens when awareness turns into dialogue β€” and dialogue turns into impact.

Awareness only works when it’s understood.

In many communities, information often gets lost β€” not because it isn’t shared, but because it isn’t accessible in a language people truly connect with.

This is where change begins.

One voice speaks.
Another translates.
And together, understanding grows.

Through simple conversations like these, awareness becomes inclusive β€” reaching beyond barriers of language, education, and access.

Because real impact isn’t just about what is said.
It’s about who is able to understand it.

Real change doesn’t begin with assumptions. It begins with listening.

In Mumbai, SAFE CHR engaged directly with grassroots organizations, community leaders, and women navigating some of the most complex realities of exploitation and vulnerability.

As reflected in this visit, the work is not about isolated interventions β€” it is about understanding systems, building trust, and strengthening partnerships that already exist on the ground.

At spaces like the WIN Project, the effort is continuous.
Often unseen.
But deeply rooted in supporting women through challenges that require more than temporary solutions.

Through conversations β€” not just observations β€” deeper insights emerge.
What support is missing.
What systems are working.
And what needs to change.

Because meaningful intervention cannot be designed from a distance.
It must be shaped by the voices of those closest to the issue.

This is how awareness becomes action.
And how action becomes impact.

What if science could help uncover the hidden patterns behind human trafficking?

In Episode #14 of Where Science Meets Human Rights, SAFE CHR brings together powerful voices to explore one of the most urgent global issues β€” s*x trafficking.

Featuring Dr. Kalyani Gopal and Andrea Powell, this conversation dives into how science, data, and human rights advocacy can work together to better understand, prevent, and respond to trafficking.

This isn’t just a discussion β€” it’s a shift in how we approach the problem.

Because to truly fight trafficking, we need more than awareness.
We need insight, collaboration, and action.

Protection should not depend on where a girl is born. πŸ’™

In many rural communities, vulnerability is not a choice β€” it is shaped by limited access, lack of awareness, and absence of protective systems. While cities may offer layers of safety, many villages are still left without the same support.

This gap is where exploitation begins.
And closing this gap is not charity β€” it is justice.

At SAFE CHR, our work focuses on building that protection from the ground up β€” through awareness, education, and community-based systems that ensure every girl has the right to grow up safe.

Because dignity, safety, and opportunity should never be unequal.
