Tuesday January 27th Meeting

1.Past Events
-January 20th VOA meeting: Discussed the upcoming Ididarod race as well as the Council Award Dinner.

2. Upcoming Events
-January 31st-Feb 1st: Chocolate sale at all St. Thomas More masses.
-February 8th: Scout Sunday. If attending, please meet at the main vestibule at St. Thomas More for the 10:00 am mass. Please also wear Class E (Venture shirt and black dress pants).
-February 17th: VOA meeting is 7:00 at Cabela's
-February 20th: Council Award Dinner. Roger Jachna will be recognized for his recent leadership award.
- February 28th-March 1st: The Ididarod sled race will be held at Camp Betz.
-March 1st: Bishops Ceremony will be held at St. Mary's in Griffith at 2:00pm.
- May 29th-31st: Venturing Camporee. Location TBA

3. Discussion Topics
-Who is interested in leadership positions for this next term?
-Having Mrs. Doran come talk to us for Wood Badge.
- Possibly start a STEM project over the summer, possibly start planning.

4. Chicago Auto Show: We are planning on having a trip to the Chicago on February 15th. Further details will come soon.

5. We have discussed the idea of a weekend camping trip sometime in mid-June. Ideas of places to go so far are Turkey Run and Starved Rock State Park.

6. Other activities brought to the table include scuba diving, a trip to sky zone, and smaller activities such as going to the movies.

7. We are still working on a system to connect with the members currently at college.

8. Our meetings for February will be Tuesday February 3rd and Wednesday February 25th.

9. Discussion topics for next meeting
- Ididarod
- Changes in the bylaws regarding leadership positions(process of nomination).
- Sending e-mails to all crew members.
