We all have something we’re walking through. And none of us were meant to walk through it alone.

Sometimes, what we need most is someone to pray with us, encourage us, and remind us of God’s truth when life feels overwhelming.

That’s the heart behind Drawing Near to God. And you don’t have to live in Charleston to be part of it.

Sometimes growing closer to God means letting go of things we never thought we’d outgrow.

Old habits, certain friendships, the need for approval, or the pressure to have it all figured out.

Growth isn’t always comfortable, but God meets us right where we are. And we were never meant to walk through it alone.

Some things weigh on us more than we realize.

A decision you keep going back and forth on.
A relationship that feels hard.
Someone you love walking through a difficult season.
A mind that just won’t slow down.
The everyday responsibilities no one else sees.

And sometimes, we don’t even know what to pray.

The good news is that God isn’t waiting for the perfect words. We can come to Him exactly as we are and bring Him exactly what we’re carrying.

A Thursday morning at DNG holds a little of everything: open Bibles, familiar faces, new introductions, worship, prayer, and conversations that sometimes continue long after the teaching ends.

Women arrive carrying different weeks and different stories. Gathering gives us space to listen, learn, and encourage one another as we draw near to God.

Have you ever told yourself you’ll spend time with God once the house is quiet, the work is finished, and everyone else is taken care of?

Many of us have. Sometimes we put the same pressure on ourselves when it comes to reading Scripture or finding community: *I should know more. I should be able to handle this. I should have it together before I show up.*

The beautiful thing is that we can come to God as we are, today. We can bring our questions to His Word and let other women walk alongside us.

Some of our favorite moments at DNG happen around a table: women opening God's Word, sharing what's on their hearts, and praying for one another.

We gather here in Charleston, but you don't have to live nearby to experience that kind of community. You can invite a few women to begin a group where you live, and DNG can help with tools, training, resources, and mentorship along the way.

Maybe you’ve followed along from outside Charleston and thought, I wish we had something like that here.

It can begin simply: a few women willing to meet, open God’s Word, and make space for honest conversation and prayer. You can gather in a home, a neighborhood, or a church, and Drawing Near to God can come alongside you with tools, training, resources, and mentorship.
