APRIL is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Exchange Clubs throughout the Nation are helping to bring awareness to the issue by planting Blue Pinwheel displays all over the country. In Mt Pleasant, our club has posted 80 Pinwheels at Children's Circle on Rifle Range Road.
All children deserve to be safe, well cared for, and loved. Please message us if you would like to learn how you can help.

Here is your PSA for the day. I know we are all guilty of this.
Take the time to dispose of your batteries properly.
Thanks!

🚨 THIS IS CAUSING FIRES 🚨

Many fires are caused by batteries being thrown in the trash.

When you toss batteries in your garbage, you’re putting sanitation workers and firefighters at risk. These batteries can spark, ignite, and turn a routine pickup into a dangerous fire in seconds.

⚠️ Don’t throw batteries in the trash.

Dispose of them safely at:

🔋 Batteries Plus
📍 1983 N Highway 17, Mount Pleasant, SC

🔋 Charleston County Recycling – Awendaw
📍 6380 Maxville Road, Awendaw, SC

🔥 One battery can start a fire. Do the right thing. ♻️

Community Service Project Completed!
Last Saturday, Club members Sheryl Bidwell, Kevin Korson, and volunteer Robert Spagnolia did a Clean up of the Children's Circle Memorial located at the traffic circle of Rifle Range and Venning.
Work included raking leaves, picking up trash and pine cones, Blowing off memorial Bricks and sidewalks, and cleaning mildew off 3 crosswalk signs. One of the signs had been recently struck by a car and we straightened it back up. During the hour spent there, we greeted 3 bike riders, 2 walkers, and 2 runners. All smiled and waved. Some gave thumbs up and 2 stopped to thank us. This is a special place which memorialize children of Mt Pleasant who were killed in car accidents. Prayers and blessings for the families of these children and all who cross through Children's Circle.

Chief Mixon and the command staff had the honor of presenting Captain Corey Warren with his red officer’s helmet.

Captain Warren has consistently demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and leadership within Mount Pleasant Fire. He has been an outstanding firefighter, and we are confident he will continue to excel and serve our community well in his new role as an officer.

Congratulations, Captain Warren — well deserved! 🚒

Huge thanks to members Kevin and Darlene Korson who helped gather 293 pounds of food for our Fall Food Drive. Items were donated to East Cooper Community Outreach. The majority of the food was donated by residents in the Quail Hollow neighborhood. Great job!

LUNCH WITH A VETERAN:
Our Club was honored to host a well deserving Veteran gor lunch at Burtons Grillito celebrate VETERANS DAY. Mr. Bill Savage served in WWII at Normandy and shared some stories that were both heartwarming and sad. At the young age of 18, he was a flight instructor who was made to serve in the Army. At the age of 101, he still remembers everything. He was so delightful to meet and we were all touched by his kindness and sense of humor.
Thanks to member Meredith Rawles for introducing Bill to us. Thank you for your service!!
