A K-9 school for orphans providing a Christian education & hope for the future. Christ's Gift Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) in the U.S.A.

Sponsorship continues to support students as they attend high schools around the country. Christ's Gift Academy is a primary school, pre-K through 8th grade, for orphans in Mbita, Kenya. CGA provides a solid Christian education while also assisting the students with their physical and social needs and teaching them to have Christ-like character. 80% of the students are orphans. Students who complete 8th grade are given continued support to attend various high schools around the country. CGA also has a college scholarship available to a few select, outstanding graduates. Mbita is located in western Kenya, along the shores of Lake Victoria, in the District hardest hit by HIV/AIDS in all of sub-Saharan Africa, outside of South Africa. 30% of the population is HIV+ and has left behind a parentless generation of children. Today marks an important milestone for 26 of our students in 17 senior schools across Kenya as they join more than one million candidates sitting their written KCSE examinations. We thank God for bringing them this far and for everyone who has walked alongside them on their educational journey.

Please uphold them in prayer, asking God to give them strength, wisdom, good health, calm hearts, and clear minds throughout the examination period. May they approach each paper with confidence, and continue to grow into the young men and women God has called them to be.

Please join us in prayer for our Grade 6 and Grade 9 students as they undertake their KPSEA and KJSEA assessments, respectively.

Pray that they will remain calm, confident, healthy, and focused throughout the examination period, and that they will approach each assessment with clarity of mind and give their very best.

We also pray that the entire assessment process will proceed seamlessly without any challenges.

On this Mashujaa Day, we remember and celebrate Kenya's national heroes who have shaped the nation's past and present.

Mashujaa is Swahili for "heroes".

We acknowledge their impact, and respect the legacy they left behind.

On Saturday, our Junior Secondary School students, accompanied by a section of our teachers, took part in a community outreach initiative aimed at demonstrating love, compassion, and care for members of the community.

During the outreach, the team visited one of our parents who has been facing health challenges. Moved by a spirit of love and service, the students and teachers took time to support him through various practical acts of kindness. They cleaned his compound, washed clothes, cleared bushes around the home, fetched water and collected firewood to help ease some of his daily burdens.

Beyond the physical tasks, the visit was an opportunity to offer encouragement, fellowship, and a reminder that he is valued and not forgotten. It was a meaningful expression of our commitment to caring for one another and extending Christ’s love beyond the classroom and into the wider community.

Today, we celebrate and appreciate our teachers for their dedication, patience, sacrifice, and the love they pour into our learners' lives every day.

Teaching is more than imparting knowledge! It shapes character, inspires dreams, builds confidence, and helps young people discover their God-given potential. Our teachers’ influence reaches far beyond the classroom, and the seeds they plant today will continue to bear fruit for many years to come.

On Saturday, we were privileged to host David Omondi and Lilly Oyare from ACSI Kenya, together with leaders and educators from Christian-based schools across Mbita, Sindo, Mfangano, Lambwe, Rangwe, Rongo, Uriri, and Stella, at our school in Mbita.

It was a truly enriching and encouraging gathering, bringing together passionate Christian educators who share a common desire to see young people receive an education that nurtures not only their academic potential, but also their faith, character, values, and relationship with Christ.

The main purpose of the meeting was to sensitize school leaders and educators on Christian education and to introduce them more deeply to the vision and work of ACSI Kenya. The gathering also provided a wonderful opportunity for school leaders to explore possibilities for partnership and mutual support. It was encouraging to see educators from different communities come together with a shared commitment to investing in the next generation.

Today, we appreciate and congratulate Bornface Otieno for the successful completion of his undergraduate studies. Bornface graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) with a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Statistics.

Bornface is passionate about Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and seeks to build a career around the same. He's currently seeking out internship opportunities to sharpen his already developed skills.

Bornface says to C.G.A: "My heart is full of gratitude toward C.G.A. They (staff, and partners) have given us a golden opportunity. I can never forget their love!"

Turning classroom learning into real-world experiences.

From 3rd–6th August 2026, our ninth-grade students, accompanied by a section of the staff and a parent representative, embarked on an enriching educational trip to Kisumu and Kakamega designed to turn classroom learning into real-world experiences.

The students explored diverse areas, including wildlife conservation, industrial processes, agriculture, aviation, governance, and commerce, while gaining valuable insights into career opportunities and personal development.

We are grateful for the opportunity to nurture well-rounded learners who are equipped to connect knowledge, faith, and real-life experiences.

We are proud to celebrate Nancy Okatch for successfully completing her studies in Police Studies and graduating from Kiganjo Police Training College yesterday, the 28th of August.

Nancy says "I thank God for the CGA fraternity. Without them, I couldn't have reached this far. The CGA family have always been with me since primary school all the way to college. Thanks sana for their support. Today, am graduating to be a member of the Kenya Police Service."
