Neighborhood Alert: Two young men are going door to door selling magazine subscriptions to raise money for them to go to Europe. They are asking for at least a $65 dollar donation.We do not know if this is legit but they are knocking on doors after dark. They say they are in high school. They are as big as me, 5-8 and 1... well that dosen't matter! Please be aware. Please Post HERE if you know if they are legit and if you know if they are not. If you know who they are PLEASE tell them to NOT knock on doors after dark.

As part of the Amenity Center improvements, the tennis court surfaces will be refurbished by removing the dead Har-Tru material, re-grading the entire area and apply new Har-Tru material. This activity will start on or about November 7, 2016 and is expected to last until November 28, 2016. If the work on the courts is completed early we will inform you via email. The tennis courts will be closed during this time.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a dramatic increase in vandalism in the neighborhood. A construction vehicle window was broken at the Amenity Center, glass beer bottles were broken at the Pool and now mailboxes were destroyed on Wednesday and Thursday night. The Mount Pleasant police have been notified and they are increasing patrols in the area. However the police need our help. We would encourage all residents to be vigilant and call the police (843-743-7200) if you see suspicious cars, rowdy behavior or strange activity. With everyone keeping an eye out for unusual behavior, we can increase the chances of catching these individuals. Please note that any individual or group involved in criminal behavior in our neighborhood will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Vandalism at Pool

Last night people entered the pool after closing. Those individuals drank beer and broke glass beer bottles on the pool deck and in the pool. As a result of that act of vandalism, the pool was CLOSED this morning until the glass situation on the pool deck and in the pool was corrected. The pool is now open.

It was unfortunate that a few individuals caused the the majority of residents to lose the opportunity to use the pool until the glass situation was corrected. This incident was reported to the Mount Pleasant Police. If anyone has any information on who did this vandalism please contact the Mount Pleasant Police or a member of the board of the property owners associations ( the Isles, the Pointe and North Creek and Parkers Landing). The board will prosecute any and all vandals to the fullest extent of the law.

The Parkers Island Amenity Center is now open. The normal pool operating times are 9 AM to sunset, or 8 PM, whichever is earlier. Adult Only pool hours are from 7 AM to 9 AM daily.

During June and early July, the neighborhood Redfish swim team will be holding swim meets and practices at the pool. This team has upwards of 140 children participating from the neighborhood. Swim Practice will be held: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8-10am and Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 5-7pm. Our home meets this year are scheduled for: June 8, 15, 22 and July 6th. Please be supportive of this very successful and vibrant part of the community.

At the new Amenity Center, construction activity is ongoing in the playground, basketball and tennis areas. There will be times access to these areas are limited. It's anticipated all construction activity will be complete in the next few weeks! We respectfully request that Monday through Friday you do not park in the areas closest to the construction site; cordoned off by traffic cones and caution tape. This will allow the construction vehicles to have easy access to the job site and ensure the quickest completion of our neighborhood project.

If residents of your household 12 years and over did not have your photo taken in 2015 for access to the pool, you will need to have this done for the 2016 pool season. Photo can be taken at the Southern Community Services office (address below) Monday thru Friday anytime between 9am and 5pm. Please contact the Parkers Island community manager for any amenity center questions or information.

Isles POA Residents,

Last evening vandalism took place at the Amenity Center. A construction vehicle had a window broken and eight chairs/loungers were thrown into the pool. This is the second case of vandalism that has occurred in the last month. The Mount Pleasant police were notified of each instance and police reports have been made. We ask that if you see any suspicious activity in and around the Amenity Center that you please notify the Mount Pleasant police at (843) 884-4176 ext. 3415. Anyone caught vandalizing the Amenity Center will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
