Meet the Development Committee members behind our Fall Fundraiser happening tomorrow, Oct 6th, at 6:30pm at Sisyphus Brewing: Bill Emory and Jessica Oh!
Bill and Jessica both joined Rebuilding Together Minnesota's Board of Directors early this year and have worked together to stand up a Development Committee since June.
Bill brings a wealth of fundraising experience with him from his political campaign management and labor organizing background, while Jessica brings a unique understanding and familiarity of our work given her history working for another Rebuilding Together affiliate and our national office.
"I see the universality in RT's work," said Jessica, "as aging is part of every family's experience with their loved ones. I helped care for my grandmother in the last chapter of her life aging in place, and I saw how much home modifications facilitate safe caregiving and relieve the pressures on family members."
"A safe, dignified place to rest your head is the foundation to success in other parts of someone’s life," said Bill. "Once people have the security that comes with comfortable housing, they are in a better position to make progress on employment, health care, child care, education, and more."
