Turn North on to Milton Street we are the first driveway.

You will see a loading dock with green plants. (until our first frost in MN) This means you are in the right spot!

Look for the big boxes, and we hope to greet you when you arrive.

Donations are placed in the big boxes, and changed out during the day as they become full.

We have a donation form. Please give us your contact information, brief item description, and let us know if you would like to be added to our monthly newsletter. It helps us keep in contact and share good news and upcoming events with you.

With your address or email we will send you a thank you letter, including tax donation information.

We appreciate the time and care you are taking with Mano a Mano. Please tell people you know about us. Together we are: Partnering hand in hand to recover local surplus resources that strengthen and transform the health and well-being of underserved Bolivian communities.

Thank You HERO, Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization

In 1996, “Project HERO” began with founding members Deanna Micheli and Lorrie Beauchamp Berg, both Registered Nurses and a group of members of the American Association of Operating Room nurses (local chapter) who saw how much usable materials were accumulating from the hospital. They believed in recycling through redistribution; by giving donated medical materials to help others. It started as an organization to help medical missions around the world.
Today, HERO, Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization, as it is known, has become an important resource particularly for seniors, disabled children and adults, individuals who are financially struggling, and people who are looking for a good deal for medical supplies. HERO also has been effective in serving the community by protecting the environment through significant reduction of the amount of perfectly usable medical supplies and DME from disposal into our local landfills.

Insider Scoop: Shipment Mid-November

It will take approximately 30 – 32 Gaylord’s (the big boxes) of folded & packaged linens to pack around and above the pallets and mobilality aids for the upcoming shipment to Bolivia.

Currently we have over seven packed. It’s an all-call situation.

Tomorrow, Wednesday October 13 from 9 – 3 pm, we are looking forward to hosting a larger crew. We have expanded hours and more big boxes of linens to prepare.

Please call the office with questions. If you have a larger group looking for an opportunity to volunteer, with a different time frame, we will work with you.

🤝 En Mano a Mano Internacional acompañamos a niños, niñas y adolescentes en sus procesos de rehabilitación, comunicación e independencia. Trabajamos para iliminar barreras y promover la inclusión.

In honor of World Teachers' Day, we’re looking back on seven years of teacher training trips from 2013 to 2019! 🍎✨

These trips gave educators from Minnesota and Bolivia a space to exchange teaching methods, collaborate on curriculum, and discuss strategies for parent engagement. Beyond the classroom, teachers built deep connections through a shared appreciation for their dedication, diverse life experiences, and the unique perspectives each brought to the table.
