We’re almost there!

Thanks to generous supporters, 229 kids in foster care will get to enjoy a back-to-school shopping experience where they can pick out brand-new clothes and supplies, just like their peers.

But 21 more children still need your help.

Our goal is to give 250 kids this empowering opportunity, and we’re not stopping until every child is included.

A gift of $200 sponsors one child’s experience, but every donation, big or small, makes a difference.

Help us reach the finish line and make sure no child is left out!

💌Donate by June 30:

Join us in providing a child with a back-to-school shopping experience. $200 will provide an experience for one child, but any amount is appreciated! This event will take place during the month of August 2026. Help Kids in Foster Care Start the School Year with Confidence! For most children, the bac...

June is Reunification Month!

Family reunification is the primary goal of foster care and reflects the belief that children do best when they can safely remain connected to their families, cultures and communities.

During National Reunification Month, we celebrate the resilience of families working toward reunification while also recognizing that Black and Indigenous families continue to face disproportionate involvement in the child welfare system and greater barriers to achieving reunification.

June is Pride Month—a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community’s strength, joy, and ongoing fight for equal rights. Pride began with the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a key moment in LGBTQ+ history that sparked a movement for change. Today,
Pride is both a celebration and a reminder that the fight for justice continues, especially as new laws threaten the rights of LGBTQ+ people, particularly trans youth.

Here are resources offering a deeper look into the history of Pride Month and the broader LGBTQ+ rights movement, along with ways to celebrate in Minnesota.
