Four Cohorts. One Trailblazer Community.

For the first time, Trailblazer Fellows from all four cohorts gathered at ABF’s new office space, connecting, celebrating, and inspiring one another.

The August 6 gathering celebrated Cohort 3 and all they’ve experienced and accomplished, while welcoming Cohort 4 as they begin their Fellowship year.

And we love this full-circle moment: This year’s official Trailblazer Fellow headshots were photographed by Lola, an 18-year-old former ABF grantee. We love seeing ABF alumni bring their talents back to our community!

Gabriela has a dream.

An eighth grader from Hennepin County and a 2026 ABF Spring Grantee, Gabriela is attending Spanish language camp this summer as she works toward becoming a Spanish-speaking naturalist.

She wants to connect with the language of her ancestors and help more kids see themselves represented in the outdoors. As Gabriela puts it, “It would be nice to have brown naturalists too so that kids can see someone who looks like them.”

What dream could an ABF grant help you pursue?

Fall Grant applications are open to girls and gender-expansive youth across Minnesota. Grants of up to $1,000 can help turn a dream into a next step.

Ann Bancroft Foundation Fall Grant applications are now open for girls and gender-expansive youth across Minnesota.

Grants of up to $1,000 can support activities and experiences in arts and culture, leadership, the outdoors, STEM, travel, sports and athletics, and more. Funding may also support mental well-being through enriching experiences or by working with a licensed therapist or mental health provider.

We want to hear your dream and how this experience could help you take the next step toward it!

Yesterday, Cheryl Reeve was officially inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and all of us at the Ann Bancroft Foundation could not be more thrilled for her and to celebrate what her leadership has meant on and off the court.

In 2025, we were honored to recognize Cheryl as our DreamMaker Award recipient because she embodies the very qualities we work to inspire in girls and gender-expansive youth every day: courage, confidence, authenticity, bold leadership, and the determination to challenge what is possible.

For decades, Cheryl has led with excellence, fierce conviction, and an unwavering commitment to breaking barriers and showing generations what it means to lead boldly and live unapologetically.
