Founded in 1977 so Native stories could be told by Native voices, MIGIZI will mark its 50th anniversary on September 11, 2027—honoring founders and youth throughout the years. From early Native radio and journalism to today’s work in filmmaking, social media, green technology, academic support, and cultural grounding, the mission has continued to evolve while keeping community voices and well-being at its center.
Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day from the MIGIZI team!!!
