We wanted to share 2 quick reminders.

1. Minneapolis and Minnesota, we love you. We are so proud to stand together in support of our immigrant neighbors. It’s a heavy time, but we’re proving our strength.

2. Our once-a-year vendor application period is open now through this Sunday, February 8th. If you’re a farmer, maker, or food producer looking for a values-driven, people-first marketplace, we want to hear from you! Grants are available for new and returning BIPOC vendors; grant apps also close February 8th. Links in bio.

We recognize there’s a lot of uncertainty and worry around everyday decisions right now. Asking small businesses to think about committing to events taking place 3 months from now is nuts. However, it’s what we have to do to plan our programming in time. That said, if you’re not ready to complete an application by Sunday’s deadline, we still want to hear from you.

Our markets will always be welcoming places to gather, connect, and find comfort in familiar faces and good food.

🧡 Market is open until 1 pm today.

Our hearts are heavy after the violence this week in South Minneapolis. We know many in our community are grieving, shaken, angry, and looking for safety and connection.

There is no single right way to respond. Some are called to protest and demand change. Others need rest and quiet. All of those responses are valid.

This market is not just as a place to shop, but as a place to be together. A place to connect, find comfort in good food and familiar faces, and remember that we are not alone. If gathering feels supportive and safe for you, you are welcome here. If you need time or space, we will be here when you are ready.
We also stand with our immigrant neighbors. Many of our vendors are immigrants or children of immigrants, and their skill, creativity, and care make our market and Minnesota’s food culture richer every week. We are grateful for the diversity they share with us and invite you to support immigrant owned businesses today and beyond. 💛
