Today, we commemorate Juneteenth — a day to honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice for Black communities across the country. It’s a time to reflect, celebrate the impact of Black Americans, and recognize the strength that comes from unity. At Girls on the Run, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity and support to reach her full potential. We’re dedicated to building spaces where joy, connection, and community can grow for girls from all backgrounds. As we honor this pivotal day in U.S. history, we recommit to a future that is inclusive and equitable.

A huge thank you to the incredible Baird Finance Team for supporting Girls on the Run of Southeastern Wisconsin through their 5K fundraising challenge!

This year they raised an amazing $2,870 and celebrated their success with a one-mile race at the Milwaukee Art Museum. With perfect weather and plenty of team spirit, participants ran while colleagues cheered them on from the bridge.

We are so grateful for your generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to empowering girls across Southeastern Wisconsin. Every dollar raised helps girls build confidence, strengthen connections, and discover just how strong they truly are.

What an incredible year it has been for the Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin Young Professionals Board! 🎉

As we wrap up our first full year together, we are amazed by the impact these dynamic leaders have made. Just 18 months ago, we launched our inaugural Young Professionals Board with a vision of engaging emerging leaders in our mission. We never could have imagined how successful this group would be so early in its journey.

A special shout-out to Anilla Alexander for her outstanding leadership as our inaugural Chair. Your guidance, commitment, and enthusiasm helped lay a strong foundation for this remarkable group.

To every Young Professionals Board member—thank you for your support, innovative ideas, energy, and passion for empowering girls throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Your dedication has strengthened our mission, expanded our reach, and inspired us all. You truly deserve the Ultimate Energy Award! ⚡💙
