This speaks to the idea that sometimes loss isn’t punishment… it’s protection. The thought is that God saw how much you were pouring out, how much you were sacrificing, maybe even losing yourself… and He stepped in before it cost you everything.

It reframes “loss” or “heartbreak” as divine intervention.

It is not rejection, it’s redirection.
It is not abandonment, it’s preservation.
It is not failure, it’s protection of your peace and purpose.

Whether someone views it spiritually or not, there’s truth in this: if loving something or someone to the degree that it requires you to sacrifice your health, joy, identity, or calling, then something is out of alignment. Sometimes what leaves your life isn’t taken to hurt you, it’s removed to save you.

Trust God’s process and His decisions. -AA

It isn’t your job to convince any one of your value. But it is your job to know it. -AA

Faith and fear both require for you to believe in something that you cannot readily see. But the question is, “Whose report will you believe?" (Isaiah 53:1).

That verse encourages believers to trust God's report over any other negative news or difficult circumstances. God's report is the only truth, which offers you promises of strength and hope, while the other reports are very limited, mostly false, and negative. Isaiah 53:1 is a call to believe what God says about you, your identity, and future, rather than being swayed by negative reports. -AA

You can be silently drowning, and people will still murmur and complain about how you're not swimming their way.

That’s a painful but true observation. When you’re struggling just to keep yourself afloat, it can feel isolating to realize that others are focused on what they’re not getting from you, instead of what you’re going through. People often don’t see the invisible battles, hear the silent tears, or witness the quiet storms that rage within you. They only notice the void and absence of your presence, and what they want from you. -AA

In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asked Jesus, “how many times will someone sin against me and I am to forgive them; and let it go? Up to seven times?” And Jesus answered him, “I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.”

It’s not a literal number…Jesus isn’t saying that we should forgive someone exactly 490 times and then stop. He’s using hyperbole (exaggeration for effect) to show that true forgiveness is/should be unlimited and not counted. Peter’s question assumed a limit. As it was Jewish tradition where forgiving someone three times was considered generous; but Peter upped it to seven. Jesus flips the expectation by multiplying it which points to a more radical kind of mercy…one that mirrors God’s own forgiveness.

God’s forgiveness of us is abundant and undeserved. And we as “believers” are called to forgive others in the same spirit. It ties into the parable of the Unforgiving Servant that Jesus speaks about in verses 23-35, which reinforces that if you’ve been forgiven much, then you should also forgive much.

Forgiveness is not about keeping score. It is about us cultivating a heart of mercy, just like God has toward us.
