Meet the dancers: Milwaukee
The club’s name is derived from the Wendlstein, a mountain in Bavaria, Germany. The purpose of the club is to provide for and carry on the Bavarian Schuhplattler dances, uphold and foster the Bavarian Alpine traditions, Tracht (ethnic dress), music, language, and to provide social entertainment for the members and guests. The club is open to anyone interested in preserving the colorful traditions and customs. They meet Thursday evenings at the Bavarian Bierhaus.
