These bags are filled with little comforts, treats, and surprises to help make the Honor Flight experience even more special. Your donation helps us add a little extra joy to the journey for the veterans we are so honored to serve and the guardians who accompany them.

It's amazing how even the smallest touches can make such a big difference. Your generosity helps us show our veterans just how much they are appreciated and how excited we are to share this experience with them.

A Special Thank You to The Old Guard!

There is something incredibly powerful about being surrounded by a flag line as our veterans begin their journey to Washington, D.C., and again as they return home. The sight of Old Glory waving, the colors lining the way, and the show of support from our community reminds our veterans just how much they are appreciated.

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to The Old Guard for showing up for both our Honor Flight send-offs and Welcome Home celebrations. Your presence helps set the tone for an unforgettable experience and gives our veterans the recognition, honor, and welcome they deserve. From the moment they leave to the moment they return, you help remind them that their service and sacrifice have not been forgotten.

A HUGE thank you to Russ Kautz and the Medford International Airport team!

Russ goes above and beyond to make sure our Honor Flight veterans, guardians, and volunteers know exactly what to expect when going through TSA. He even takes time out of his Wednesday evenings to join our Honor Flight meetings, answer questions, ease concerns, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and prepared before flight day. As Russ likes to say, he's there to take the a$$ out of hassle!

We also want to recognize the entire Medford TSA team. Every time our veterans travel, they are greeted and treated with the respect, kindness, and dignity they deserve. Those interactions make a difference, especially for the men and women we are so honored to serve.

Russ and the Medford TSA team, thank you for helping make the Honor Flight experience a little easier, a lot more welcoming, and truly special for our veterans.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Park Police for escorting our Honor Flight of Oregon veterans from the World War II Memorial to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and from the Korean War Veterans Memorial to Arlington National Cemetery.

Your professionalism, dedication, and support helped make these moments even more meaningful for our veterans as they visited the memorials honoring their service and sacrifice.

And of course, thank you to Willow for the puppy loves!

Thank you for helping us honor our heroes and for being part of a journey our veterans will never forget.

If you are available on November 10th please consider attending this event. They are looking for veterans to speak in the classrooms before the event as well. Lunch will be provided!

Hidden Valley High School is inviting our Veterans to join them for their annual Veterans Day Tribute. It will be held on Tuesday, November 10th at 11:00am.

“We would be honored to have you join us for our Veterans Day assembly and be part of this special day with our students and staff. We truly appreciate the sacrifices and service of the men and women who have served our country, and we want our students to have the opportunity to hear from and connect with local veterans.

We are also hoping to give our students an opportunity to hear some of your personal stories and experiences. If you would be interested in visiting a classroom before the assembly to speak with students, we would absolutely love to have you! It can be as formal or informal as you'd like — sharing stories about your service, answering questions, or simply talking with students about your experience. There is no need to prepare a formal presentation.

Lunch will be provided for our visiting veterans, so if you are able to attend, please RSVP to me so I can make sure we have enough food and can plan accordingly. If you're interested in speaking with a class before the assembly, please let me know that as well, and I’ll coordinate the details with you.”

Some people do more than drive the bus - they become part of the family! Today, we want to give a very special shout-out to Ceaser with DC Trails!

Every Honor Flight depends on people who help get our veterans where they need to go safely and comfortably, but every once in a while, someone comes along who makes the journey about so much more than getting from one place to another. For us, Ceaser is that person!

Ceaser is professional, hardworking, kindhearted, and personable. He brings a level of care and dedication that does not go unnoticed. Whether he is helping keep everything running smoothly, making sure our veterans are taken care of, or simply sharing a conversation and a smile, he has a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. And if you have been on an Honor Flight with Ceaser, you probably already know why everyone loves him!

Ceaser, you are so much more than our bus driver. You are part of our Honor Flight family. Your patience, kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile help make these trips memorable for our veterans, guardians, and volunteers alike.

We are also grateful to DC Trails for providing transportation that helps make our mission possible. But today, we especially want to recognize the incredible person behind the wheel who has earned such a special place in our hearts.

Thank you, Ceaser, for the miles you drive, the hard work you put in, and, most importantly, the heart you bring to what you do. We are so lucky to have you alongside us as we honor our heroes!

A big thank you to Chick-fil-A of Medford!

There is something special about starting an unforgettable day with a warm breakfast and a community that shows up to support our veterans. We are incredibly grateful to the owner of the Medford Chick-fil-A locations and the amazing team who help make our Honor Flight mornings extra special!

While most of us are still waking up, this dedicated team is already hard at work! They come in early, prepare a fresh breakfast, and deliver it right to the airport on the morning of our flight. Their willingness to give their time, energy, and talents to help our veterans start their journey means so much to all of us at Honor Flight of Oregon.

Thank you for organizing this wonderful act of generosity and for bringing your team together to support our veterans. And specifically, to every employee who arrives early, prepares breakfast, and makes the delivery: Thank you for giving up part of your morning to serve those who served our country.
